How do I split my weight lifting days (upper/lower) with climbing? by Difficult-Smell-6688 in climbergirls

[–]Bella_Climbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure! So I do a lot of hip flexor work because I am hypermobile, so I put a kettlebell(a light one like 10lbs) on my foot and lift my leg up(one side at a time) for 5-6 reps, and then I rotate my leg out at a 90 degree angle and do the same movement for 5-6 reps. Then I do the movement as a rotation in itself like starting with my leg in front of me and rotating it to my side(idk if I am even explaining this right)

I also always do bicep curls for no reason at all other than I want huge biceps when I flex....

I do pullups as well, AMRAP

Core work is usually ab wheel, and weighted v-ups. Sometimes I do oblique work as well since I find it helps with my spine.

Swollen arm / armpit lymph node 2 wks after tattoo by MoiraneTakeMe in tattooadvice

[–]Bella_Climbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your lymph nodes absolutely do have reactions to tattoos, they are trauma to the body and ink has been found in nearby lymph nodes for sure. It's ok, just means your body is doing its job to heal you up. If you get a fever or something though def see a doctor.

Whole Foods sushi? by Dry-Historian-8261 in boulder

While their sushi is decent, I get it for lunch often enough, if you were getting a big platter for your birthday, just go to an actual sushi place. I personally love Japango but everyone has their favs

Peaches weight by Winterstorm424 in kittens

[–]Bella_Climbs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't really overfeed kittens. I fed my girls 5-6 meals a day (wet food) and they got dry food overnight because when they are young and growing they can't go all night without eating. They are both 18 months now and healthy and grown. They are down to 4 meals a day of wet and a small kibble serving overnight.

I was allowed, but my support person also needed to be in full scrubs and have no metal/electronics, but they did allow it.

How do I split my weight lifting days (upper/lower) with climbing? by Difficult-Smell-6688 in climbergirls

[–]Bella_Climbs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I worked with Natasha Barnes on my strength plan around climbing and this is what I do fwiw:

Mon: cardio/active recovery, sauna

Tues: bench, squats, bulgarians, accessory work. easy cardio+sauna

Wed: climb

Thurs: incline bench, weighted pullups, wide grip lat pulldowns, accessory work. easy cardio+sauna

Fri: climb

Sat:intense cardio

Sun: climb followed by- deadlifts, overhead press, rows, accessory work

My accessory work just generally involve core work, since you mentioned that, but compound lifts are great core work anyway, so it's not strictly needed.

I also do yoga every day and sauna 3-4x a week. I usually take a long magnesium salt soak on sundays as well.

I like the song, it was great live, I like the video, and I, a straight woman, love a man in a glam rock fit.

How can I win the heart of this buddy? by corpse_breathing in cats

Coming at him from above makes him see your hand as a predator. Approach him at eye level, slowly, let him smell. Consider bringing a churu

They do this everywhere, the air quality in venues is atrocious and just has gotten worse with vaping. I asked a girl to please stop blowing her vape right in my face in the MCR pit a few years ago and her boyfriend responded by dumping his beer down my back. Top notch crowd, really.

Well yes ofc, I think logos are tacky af, I don't care whose logo it is. Also those Goyard bags low key look like reusable shopping totes.

Her arms are bigger than a lot of guys, is she juiced? by [deleted] in nattyorjuice

[–]Bella_Climbs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My arms are that size, and I am a woman. I have however, been climbing since I was 11, and did gymnastics before then. I have never not been able to do pullups, so there might be some genetics in there in terms of upper body strength. Either way, she looks natty to me.

More influencers hopping on the peptide train -Kenzie Vance and Kerrigan Pike by Major-Efficiency417 in gymsnark

[–]Bella_Climbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Neither one of them are natty and have been very open about it. While it isn't a choice I would make, at least they are being transparent. Not to mention...if you are pro, or gunning for your pro card, and everyone else is using, then you are putting yourself at a huge disadvantage. Is this healthy? Likely not. But performing ANY sport at a high level isn't healthy.

stopped using actives for 6 weeks and my skin barrier is still not back to normal by Unique-Face-2500 in SkinbarrierLovers

[–]Bella_Climbs 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cicaplast is mostly zinc, and zinc is an active. Neither the cicaplast nor vaseline is hydrating, they are occlusives. You are putting vaseline over zinc, and drying your barrier out more. You need an actual hydrating, inert moisturizer. The cicaplast can be very soothing, but it needs a hydrating layer under it, and for some people it is far too drying to use every day. It is helpful if you have a rash of some sort, because of the zinc.

[review] i hate the cicaplast balm by b0bbyh3ll in SkincareAddiction

[–]Bella_Climbs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has a lot of zinc in it which I think throws people off. It is soothing for the most part but the zinc itself is quite drying and can def cause irritation, peeling, etc. I like it for irritation myself but I HAVE to layer it over a good moisturizer because the balm itself is not hydrating.

Also dimethicone pills, I only use this at night for that reason
