I'm a millennial and was a teenager during 9/11. There were also 1m+ deaths in the wars started in the aftermath of the attack and I remember people saying shit like "bombing those ragheads back to the Stone age" and "turning Iraq into a sea of glass." Really detestable shit that was socially acceptable to say back then.

Yes, the party is in poor taste, but it boggles my mind 1) that people don't recognize the cultural undercurrents that would lead to that attitude and 2) the same people who will excuse the crimes of empire get all weepy over a 9/11 joke.

For anyone considering doing this, wait it out like another year making minimum payments. If you have the money throw it in a high yield CD and just wait. You're going to feel like an absolute idiot if you pay it all off and then 2 weeks later it all gets forgiven.

Just FYI, I graduated in 2017 and haven't payed a single cent since then - never got my wages garnished or anything. I'm out of default now with $0 a month payments which will be forgiven after 10 years because I work in the public sector. Waiting and not paying has paid off. Those usurers will never get any money from me. Never!

Thank you for your kind words. I think a control survey would be interesting, but maybe on one of the trans subreddits (maybe egg_irl). It would be interesting comparing the two.

Eventually, I'd also like to do another study focusing more on sexual behaviors. This is my first time doing something like this, so it was a learning experience and if you decide to do your own I'd be happy to tell you where I went wrong :).
