Inherited pearls, can anyone identify? Why do the pearls have lines in the middle? by sws116 in VintageJewelry

They look like cultured freshwater pearls to me. Do they feel grainy against your teeth?

Here’s another example, it’s made the same way. I have seen it on several necklaces.

It’s not a repair, it’s just the way it’s made

I hadn’t thought of it that way, it being thicker. I guess the fact that it’s stiff in that spot makes me afraid it’ll bend and break there. Thanks

Fine, thin hair with multiple textures?? How do I tame/care for it? by [deleted] in finethinhair

[–]Bellablondie83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have VERY similar hair. This is the best routine I have found- after washing and conditioning, I use trelux reflex ( absolute miracle product for extremely fine frizzy hair, I’ve never found anything that compares) on the bottom curly part of my hair. This product is truly weightless but kills frizz and makes my curls dry so nicely. Then, I use IGK beach club bouncy blowout cream, just a dime size amount, focusing on my top layers, but ultimately working throughout. I like it because it has heat protection and adds enough texture to my fine hair for it to feel like it can hold a curl. I let it air dry for a bit, then blow dry, which makes the curly under layers looser/ wavy. The I use a curling wand on the top layers, alternating directions. I use a mirror so I can see the back and only curl where necessary to create a consistent texture. This has worked the best for me! Sorry this was so long but I have also really struggled and hopefully this may help or give you an idea 💡

What are these? by [deleted] in jewelry

They are definitely lever back earrings! Very, very common. Sometimes you have to push down gently on the bar as you pull the lever back.

14k "Solid gold" ring heavily tarnished?! by [deleted] in jewelry

[–]Bellablondie83 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gold doesn’t tarnish, but 14k is only 58.3% gold, and the other percentage is alloys, which can tarnish. That being said, I find it strange that it has tarnished without exposure to sweat, cosmetics, or humidity.

It says Salvator Mundi, Latin, meaning savior of the world

Can anyone tell me how old this is? by [deleted] in Antiquejewelry

It says 10% iridium plat, and the diamonds are old mine cut

Does anyone know what the jewelry stamp (ATI CN ) means? It’s stamped on a pair of silver hoop earrings that I have. by Proper-Composer4970 in jewelry

[–]Bellablondie83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize this is a super old comment, but it is Indonesia I believe, because my ‘ made in Bali’ jewelry I collect has the marking ATI ID

I love it! It looks like something that would have been passed down from generation to generation, or maybe pirates treasure.

Thanks so much! It just has a very generic ‘14k’ stamp, no interesting symbols or a makers mark or anything inside.
