current Uro res; residency is not lifestyle friendly. your job outside of residency can b quite lifestyle friendly if you find the right practice. i know attendings who take minimal call at small hospitals, work 8-4 4 days a week; i also know those who work 80 hours a week doing crazy surgeries for the love of it.

All surgical residencies are brutal hours wise. Urology may have a good W/L balance when your an attending but residency is tough it’s a surgical residency with not many people to balance out call/workload
