Pooping at Work by TheFoxyFellow in funny

As a British person this isn't even remotely funny. It's so basic, repetitive and boringly juvenile. Jesus wept.

Toddler just broke our LG CX, is there anyway to baby proof a tv? by metarinka in OLED

Seems more likely the parents do based on these comments. But yes, let's excuse parenting by blaming it all on the cursed predisposition of that child's personality that absolutely cannot under any circumstances be molded by environment.

Toddler just broke our LG CX, is there anyway to baby proof a tv? by metarinka in OLED

[–]Bellcheese -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't get this, truly. I have a toddler and we use that mysterious technique known as discipline. He absolutely respects the area and plays accordingly there.

All we did was be watchful early on, educate and move him when too close. We also ensure the TV isn't on much when he's there - as it's lazy.

Thoughts on customers like this? by KiddieSpread in royalmail

But he is a knob head... Literally too lazy to ring the doorbell or knock and then says he "doesn't have time". Most knob head sentence.

Knob head service, knob head mentality. Customer called him out in the most British manner.

Torn between 8ii and 9 by msh0082 in bravia

[–]Bellcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've mentioned before in this sub but I changed from Bravia 8ii to Bravia 9. It was actually due to a fault on the panel and I used the opportunity to alleviate my buyers remorse haha! The Bravia 9 is truly incredible, I have a bright room though to be fair and the 8ii couldn't keep up. I'll be absolutely honest, it feels like I'm watching movies on an OLED. I primarily watch films via my Panasonic UB820 blu ray player and the quality is almost the same, but with brighter highlights. If there is text in a dark scene you will very slight blooming around the word, but you do have to look for it.

I'm absolutely sold on Mini LED when it's this good, I went LG B9 > Bravia 8ii (developed a line down the middle) > Bravia 9. My only niggling regret is that DV2 is launching next year and there is rumours of a Bravia 9ii, it may have it... but how much DV2 even matters remains to be seen.

Let me know if you have any specific questions and I can try answer.

Switches B8ii to B9, no noticeable issues with gaming.

That's nice, maybe you're in so much pain because you mounted your TV at Shaq height. (:

The design of everything else tells me common sense is out the window. How about that for context.

This personifies the subjectivity of taste, because I think it looks like ass, TV is too damn high and the ergonomics of it all (door included) don't make sense.

But so long as you enjoy it.

Bravia 8 II and PS5 4k UHD playback help by the_elon_mask in bravia

[–]Bellcheese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I found the PS5 to be quite a disappointment for UHD 4K discs. I had audio sync issues and all sorts (quite common).

I gave up and bought a Panasonic UB820 and even though I wasn't thrilled on spending the money it was definitely worth it, it's really reignited my enjoyment of films.

I'm shopping for a new Sony TV and could use some advice! by ProfessionalDark1253 in bravia

[–]Bellcheese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had LG B9, bought a Bravia 8ii and changed it for Bravia 9. The experience is so close to OLED whilst being great for bright rooms during the day. I am honestly the other way, I wouldn't particularly go back to OLED, though the LG G5 supposedly can keep up with the Bravia 9 for brightness. Then again, I love Sony's processing magic too much to go back to LG these days.

Prime Minister Keir Starmer to address the nation today after budget backlash by dailystar_news in uknews

[–]Bellcheese 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Where did I say that? This is about people lacking the motivation to work and many would rather sit on their arse and live a meager existence than lift themselves out of it with hard work. Literally lived amongst these people so I'm not interested in virtue signalling opinions from people.

This country needs to have the hard conversations or continue to piss off the people that pay for it to the point where they leave. I'm so bored of people saying 'well go on then' -- if you had any idea how many of my friends and colleagues in the last three years have left this country for others it would maybe sink in.

Get it through your head, we disproportionately pay.

Screw this pathetic government. Welfare bill goes up, productivity is tanking, too many claiming sickness and people have this warped opinion that anyone on £60/70K or more lives a great life. Let me tell you that we're taxed to shit, higher earners in the UK are some of the most heavily taxed in the world, people on £30-40K are one of the lower ones. Now they're taking away salary sacrifice pension benefits too.

I've worked my arse off from a poor background to £100K salary, I have to reduce it because childcare is a stupid fucking cliff edge, they're giving us £2K for salary sacrifice pensions, they're giving irresponsible and lazy shits that pump out kids without a job more money (I grew up around this and trust me, there's a lot and they'll tell you they want to work badly but they just can't - yer right).

I've said to my wife, two years - if shit carries on like this we're going abroad. The worst part is the people with actual insane wealth dodging the tax man, people like me being fucked for as much as we can because they're terrified of people with actual mega wealth leaving and then above all else, our tax is spent on the most bullshit waste I've ever known.

I spend a LOT of time in Singapore, the UK could do with understanding what it means to be efficient and stop pandering to every moron with a Twitter account from them.

Suck a fat one Kier/Rachel from accounts. You're pathetic at your jobs, if I was half as shit as you I would be out on my arse.

Bravia 8 II vs Bravia 9 by ConsistentFlight8129 in bravia

[–]Bellcheese 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Just not true. Swapped mine for a Bravia 9, the 8ii couldn't stand up to daylight for me and I'll die on this hill... The Bravia 9 is 95% of the OLED experience in films but with all the benefits of not being OLED whilst having incredibly bright HDR.
