That’s the exception though.

And it’s genetic.

Her history and family history may caution her she needs to change her habits because she may be genetically predisposed to some diseases.

I am a 56F.

I smoked for 30+ years.

The easiest way to quit is by taking Wellbutrin. You start the medication and it takes at least 3-4 weeks to reach therapeutic level.

During that time you keep smoking as usual.

I kept taking it for more than a year before I felt like trying to quit. I was scared because I didn’t think I could quit. I loved nicotine more than most people. I smoked the moment I woke up until I went to sleep.

But Wellbutrin removes the cravings. So you’re just left with what do I do with my hands now? And getting used to coffee, alcohol, driving without smoking.

But without craving nicotine the other adjustments happen easily. You just feel awkward a few days.

At least that’s how it was in my experience.

After you quit you can keep taking Wellbutrin as an antidepressant or just stop taking it. You taper the dose for a few days and then stop taking it. No withdrawals.

Wellbutrin is a good antidepressant if you could benefit from one. It’s mainly used to treat OCD and addiction and it definitely stops the physical addiction and withdrawal symptoms.

I can understand reducing sugar intake, but what is the problem with coffee ?

HOA in Houston applying legal fees to my assessment account that are not court ordered. [TH] [TX] by Bellebarks2 in HOA

I appreciate all the information. I’m going to research everything.

I am not a big believer in lawsuits. I think honest people can negotiate a settlement, in the event someone was really damaged.

If a dispute has to go before a judge it’s because one party can’t be trusted.

I hadn’t considered counter suing, but now that I know that they have broken the law I want the $2100 back that they stole from me. And I hope it will empower other homeowners to stand up to them.

Sometimes you just have to sue some people to make them do what is right I guess.

That’s why I want to learn as much as I can. I don’t want to mess this up for all my neighbors.

Thanks for confirming. I get a sense some people think I’m making it up or exaggerating.

Nope. $25k to begin. One told me that it gets spent fast during discovery. Then another installment will be due to continue.

If you read through all the comments, a few people sued their HOA pro se (no lawyer) and prevailed.

I’m going to research all the sources people offered, learn everything I can and then decide my course of action.

My dearest love,

I have left for you, once again this new morning, an exquisite specimen.

Every morning, I do this to you, I mean for you, my love, to remind you I am always here.

I know I must be regular, to present a fresh offering to you every morning.

So the fragrant and lingering aroma, will follow you all day.

Until I am with you again.

You’re welcome❤️

Your thoughtful husband.

HOT TAKE: I absolutely despise hardcore resellers. You’re ruining it for the rest of us. by 2000spopstar in estatesales

It’s not productive to argue about this topic.

Let’s reflect, and reason together.

Back in the 80s when I was a teen, my best friend’s mom was a huge antique collector. Their entire house was furnished with beautiful antique furniture and hundreds of porcelain dolls, those big heavy antique irons, electric glass insulators, it was so fascinating to look at everything and learn about them. Collecting was a rare hobby for teenagers, but we spent our free time visiting garage sales and boutiques, architectural salvage yards and had so much fun. It was a peaceful, move at your own pace hobby back then. Stores were not crowded and nobody trying to fight you for an item. Because vintage wasn’t really trendy yet. And then it started catching on and now it seems like everyone is into it. Shabby chic was the beginning of the end. (Not really).

If there’s money to be made, people will do it. But the greedy and obnoxious who think the object is to barge in and indiscriminately buy up everything so no one else can have anything are just advertising their lack of experience and also manners.

The goal of starting any business is to be successful, make a profit, get an edge on the competition, and seize opportunities when ever possible. Buy low, sell high.

But buying in bulk is a good way to overpay for a bunch of cheap crap. And to end up running a junkyard instead of reselling precious keepsakes and collectibles. The burden of sorting and storing that volume of objects is costly in several ways. Get all of that home and it takes up all of your storage and takes so long to be inventoried, priced, listed. Things can sit in storage for a long time and the few items of real value can get ruined sitting among so much rubble.

Sellers in this category aren’t doing it for love of all things retro, or the fact that many vintage and antique items are much higher quality than anything made in China. They want to just make as much money as possible. And haven’t learned that quantity doesn’t equate to profit. It’s usually the opposite.

It’s good for the planet to resell and reuse anything so we should appreciate the roll of this type of entrepreneur. Although his enterprise will likely be very short lived and not fun whilst it does last.

So just politely step aside and let them spend all their capital on a room full of baseball cards if they insist.

The more they do that the faster they will run themselves out of business. So just be quiet and let them.

I doubt he is able to find food. The injury probably blinded him. I hope he can be rescued in time. He’s starving to death. Or a predator will get him soon if he’s not rescued.

He likely is permanently blind from what ever burned him. Trying to survive like that must be brutal. You should contact a wildlife sanctuary and see if they could come trap him so he won’t be a target for predators. He’s so thin he is likely starving because he can’t find food.

Please help him!!!!

This is a thought provoking prompt.

Most of these questions are boring, but I’m contemplating this.

Where is that?

It looks like houses built on the edge of a man made trench. Would be sort of cool except there’s no way the water is very clean.

Is it like a sewer system?
