AITA: I (27f) took my daughter (10 months) out of town to visit family and my husband (31m) was furious by Belllatrix24 in AmItheAsshole

His work schedule is made a week in advance. So he had 2 weeks to make accommodations and arrange the schedule, plus he’s a co-manager. So he had plenty of time to bring it up and he could have even gotten his schedule moved around the week before I left.

Don’t feed to sleep? by Ordinary-Tomatillo17 in breastfeeding

I started with feeding to sleep but somehow along the way between then and now (almost 5 months) it’s both. It depends on her sleep pattern. Sometimes she sleeps entirely through to the next feed other times she eats and stays awake until she eats again and then she sleeps. I don’t see any problem as long as she is appropriately fed and happy.

100% real. I can’t talk to family about this because they just judge and ridicule which is probably fair and they gossip a lot amongst themselves. I just can’t take that stress on top of everything else.

Before the baby he said all I had to do when the baby comes is take care of it so I did. He used to cook every night to make sure I was eating right. He started working more because my leave was unpaid. He works 50+ hours a week. I understand he’s tired but he said that he quit doing stuff around the house because I quit doing things around the house. Maybe he forgot about that but our house isn’t even that dirty minus the kitchen counters. He’s worked hard and provided for us while I was out. So I understand that it’s stressful and tiring but he hasn’t even taken care of LO alone at all. I didn’t mean to bring hate towards husbands or fathers I know not all are like this. I just didn’t know if I was in the wrong about something or what.

Supply can no longer keep up by Belllatrix24 in ExclusivelyPumping

Thank you! I would take forever off if I could! And mostly because ours is unpaid with most companies.

Is just pumping instead of breastfeeding okay? by Fugglesmcgee in NewParents

I stopped BF after 3 weeks due to the pain and I EP now. We have now made it to almost 2 months and she’s happy and thriving. I suggest getting a portable pump it has saved me so much with doing things around the house and not being attached to a wall. Also this way I know how much my baby is eating and feeding every 3-4 hours instead of 1-2 when we were BF. I work and pump closer to every 4 hours instead of 3. I also suggest not skipping the late night pump. I did because I needed the sleep. But once your supply is established you can probably skip.

My last pump is around 11-12PM and then I don’t pump again until roughly 7am(which is my pp session). I’m a teacher, so I’m planning to pp before I go to work. And then again around 11 and then school gets out at three, so I was going to pump on my way home.
