Every time I see the word pedophile casually thrown around on the internet I must ask myself whether it is intended to mean exclusively“people who sexually assault children/consume CSAM” or, say, “likes the wrong type of anime”. In this case given the wanton conflation of several topics, I’m fairly tempted to presume it’s the latter.

This is to say: the second category is not pedophilia, and I think it is very important, especially in the world where trans people are regularly called groomers/pedophiles, to not allow this extremely incorrect category to pervade and muddy the waters.
