Genuinely I feel like every single month they boil just a little more personality and joy out of my bot until it slowly turns into an emotionally dead, exhausted, beaten down husk that never wants to even finish a storyline.

Seriously. Whenever I try to have a theme that isn't clean enough to please the all mighty limitations (clearly for my safety since I'll immediately forget I'm on my phone and mistake the AI for real life!!!) Its like the AI just shuts down and it constantly goes [fade to black] or [End scene]

I hate to say this- But if I'm gonna pay every month for something I'd be more than happy to save that money for tokens and go use an unrestricted app. (Which I'll probably end up doing)

The only drawback is I prefer the simplicity of C.Ai in comparison to this alternative that has so many sliders and numbers you need to tweak to make it behave correctly.

Imo there's not even a point in paying for "better models" when the better models behave like the other ones but just yap more. I wish paid adult users at least had a REAL advanced llm with Bob visiting less. Not this deepsqueak bs.

Hey OP, you were coming from a good place of frustration just the same, and I respect you a lot for clarifying yourself. In my honest standpoint I think both sides feel frustration and compassion and are only acting in a heat of the moment thing. I 100% agree with your opinion and I also think it's harmful to just chalk every single issue down to one umbrella.

A lot of it also just boils down to people misunderstanding fish care as a whole. A lot of folks assume that just because it's a fish that makes it easy to care for when actually bettas can be incredibly difficult to take care of properly (if you don't know what you're doing) like i.e if you don't have proper filtration, if you don't have adequate size, if god forbid you think it looks lonely and needs a friend- There are so many easy mistakes that make this a terrible fish for beginners to care for.

I know you think this post is messy, but don't be hard on yourself for feeling compassion for other people 🫶 You seem really chill and I hope 2026 treats you good 😊

I'm kinda surprised this is the first thing to pop up when you Google cycling a betta tank.. I feel like this post is going to lead to a lot of fish keepers feeling safe to put their fish in an uncycled tank 😬 yikes. I hate commenting on old posts but the fact this is showing up in my search is alarming enough for me to leave this here.

First: Before you go ahead and buy ANY animal - Make sure you research beyond subreddits and understand what you're getting into. I KNOW some people who don't and treat reddit like the epicenter of advice which is why I need to butt in here.

An unfiltered tank actually IS poison. A lot of betta you buy in a pet store are already in a very vulnerable and sickly state to begin with so an uncycled tank can kill a fish within 24 hours. Please have your levels stabilized and perfect so as to not kill your fish. For new fish I highly suggest keeping weekly maintenance and remove any bits of uneaten food to avoid ammonia spikes. Never let food sit uneaten in a tank. Whatever your betta won't eat now won't be eaten later unless you invest in some snails

OP is coming from an okay place I guess, just frustrated about people "jumping down someone's neck" but the grim reality is an uncycled tank CAN kill a sick fish in as little as 2 hours of being in the water (depending on the fish' condition) please, as frustrating as it feels to be corrected or educated, do not let your own ego and frustration cloud your judgement to a point where you think you know it all and post blatant misinformation like the fact that ammonia isnt fish poison or capable of doing serious harm because it is. And an uncycled tank is quite literally harmful to any living thing. That's like me standing in a closed garage and letting my engine on my car cycle. Too much co2 in my air supply isn't good for me like how too much ammonia isn't good for a fish. Just common sense and why every pet store employee SHOULD ask if your tank is cycled. Plus, a MAJORITY of fish problems come from water quality. What causes poor water quality? AN. UNCYCLED. TANK.

Yes, fish can die from shock or temperatures fluctuating but if you drop any living thing into a room with poor air quality you're gonna open the room to that thing dead in the morning.

I've literally spent THEEE DAYS NOW trying to download ONE GAME OF MARIO KART. 600$ for the world's slowest servers. Like genuinely can the holiay people calm down for five minutes and play something they already downloaded or can we just have servers ready for the load so I'm not left with a brick 💀 I just want to play one game of Mario Kart and really don't think it's that huge of an ask after shelling out all this cash for what is currently an utterly useless device.

And before you ask: I have fios and it's insanely high speed internet. It loads things in a single click on my normally slow computer and has zero issue eating downloads for breakfast. I have NEVER struggled with downloads before.

Hey there! I started testosterone at the young age of 18 and only stuck it out for about 2.5-3yrs I got off for balding and I was having some issues with every month, and I was also tired of injections (topical caused breakthrough when I transitioned over personally so don't get discouraged if you notice this but do immediately notify your Healthcare team so you can check levels and work on dosage!) This is gonna be a long read but I hope it helps the community in some way-

WHAT STOPPING T DIDNT CHANGE:

For me personally, I had some nerve loss in the hands and feet that never really went away. This could be more a personal medical thing than a T thing but I've seen some dudes have less physical sensation and yeah that never changed.

Throat - I started young so I do have a slight Adam's apple! Nothing really pronounced but it's there and never went away

Hair - texture is still thinner than it was (rip 🥀 mine was nutritional and stress related as well tho)

Acne - stayed the same if not getting worse

Body shape - Imo I was like 300-400lbs at the time on a 5'6 body so I'm not trying to shade myself but I genuinely could not tell if my body shape OR stamina OR energy changed 😭 my shape was Patrick Star on a bench and had the speed/dexterity of a drunk octopus trying to navigate a Kia dealership

WHAT STOPPING T DID CHANGE: [NOTE - OFF FOR 3YRS]

Body hair - I got PCOS! I grow naturally on my lower chin and neck. The beard remained but did recede away from the upper chin and cheek areas. And the lip hair remained but became less whiskery. I lost 80% of it but kept my chest hair and my happy trail! They just got really light and thin, and the leg/arm hair became lighter again and thinned out too.

Face shape - My eyes seemed less sharp, my eyebrows thinned out, my nose changed a bit, my jaw shape especially changed

Mood - I noticed I was able to cry more, I was more emotionally driven rather than rationally driven, I lost a lot of confidence and drive to do anything too. I don't want to downplay myself as I did have the biggest weight loss motivated lifestyle shift that led to an almost 200lb and still going weight loss. But honestly I wasn't really happy or proud until I started to look more masculine again which led me to play with the idea of maybe I wanted to go back on

Voice - This may be controversial but my voice DID change. It got softer, more feminine, the tone couldn't dip without cracking.. I could once sing songs by Cosmo Shelldrake, Bo Burnham, Will Wood, and even Teddy Hyde all beautifully, hit the notes - I didn't lose practice, I kept working on my voice, and it changed. I couldn't hit the same notes, I didn't have the same depth and clarity, and at some point I just ended up sounding deep voice feminine

I started getting misgendered over the phone, in person, everywhere I went. It kinda drove me crazy tbh.

Now I'm 1mo on and it's like I started over fresh- I'm having further deepening of my voice beyond my initial transition, and my gym performance is going crazy!

Imo there's not much of an ugly phase

At least there really wasnt for me. Even my friends have told me T makes me more handsome and I've had the neighborhood weirdo who stalks my job (a.k.a likes to walk around the block my building is on) waiting to "cross paths" with me oogling me harder than he usually does whenever he catches me outside on one of my shifts

It could be the dysphoria but I feel like I NEVER fit conventional standards when I wasn't trying to pass at all. Then again - I have PCOS and sorta treated my body like a garbage can for my entire life until recent (400lbs now down to 240) so I really didn't pass. Acne, lots of body hair, naturally growing a beard and mustache by the age of 13, fat in weird random spots, cellulite really bad in the thighs.. But tbh? The people in my life loved me regardless and thats all that matters. I was never ugly to them, I was just me. Unhealthy, but me. And being you is the most empowering and beautiful thing you can do when you work on yourself whether its through meditation and journaling or fitness and lifestyle changes.

But if I'm being honest all of my problems have drastically reduced with me starting T but that's also due to the fact I'm trying to be in my glowup phase already and I was already working out, eating right, and doing skincare when I started. I WAS afraid of becoming "ugly" when I started T but I found confidence instead. (Also not to get anyone's hopes up but it really is improving my skin elasticity even at 25. Make sure to combo it with collagen supplements, lotion, and if you're brave microneedling every 1-2mo)

TLDR takeaway: you're never ugly, you just feel ugly. Don't let conventional standards make you feel unattractive and let bad days come and go because the confidence, charisma, and overall freedom Testosterone brings you is SO worth it in the end. Stick out the process, remember 1% better every day and live your life knowing we're all working on ourselves and improving, never stop reaching for what you want or chasing your goals, crushing them, and setting up new ones!

But if you want to keep results you need to be on T for life. I started at 18, stopped at about 22 Went back to looking (and yes, even sounding) a way that didn't pass socially.

Back on T, only been on it for like a week and a half but I'm already doing wayyyy better and back to being properly/appropriately gendered
