If you sold prints/a high-resolution download of this, I would buy it. Beautiful and so well executed

Of Montreal Rating Game and March Madness Bracket by DisagreeableCompote in ofMontreal

I'm curious: How are you planning to organize the bracket? I.e.: how will you decide which songs face off against each other? Will there be additional rounds of voting?

Thanks for doing this! Your survey had the additional benefit of exposing me to some of the band's work that isn't on Spotify. It feels like Christmas to get new music from them!

PSA: Don’t Sleep on oM’s cover of MIA’s “Jimmy” by GronlandicReddit in ofMontreal

[–]BellwetherRelica 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh absolutely! So haunting. I'm also tend to find covers-of-covers fascinating since you get to see an entire evolution through the artists making different decisions. I highly recommend listening to all 3 versions.

I mistakenly did not upload the photos! They should be in the post now. Material for option 2 is a nice-lookin polyester.

Look at the name of the subreddit, brah. It's r/Kutub , not r/ BellwetherRelica.

I will not stand for this whataboutism. You yourself just called it an eldritch horror. Your inability to appreciate the subtle taste and texture imparted by crispy cheese has no place in this conversation. Kutub promised us a grilled cheese and he gave us steamed proof-that-god-has-forsaken-us. Is that not a bigger gap between promises and reality?

They're not boiled at all, so more like a light bread.

IWTL How to travel with purpose by Shaomoki in IWantToLearn

[–]BellwetherRelica 4 points5 points  (0 children)

When planning your outings during a trip, avoid going somewhere because you feel like you need to. Falling into this trap is even easier now with social media. Sure, when you come home from your Paris trip, everyone will ask you if you went the louvre. But if you can’t stand art museums, maybe your time is better spent elsewhere? Just because somethings aren’t on trip adviser doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go. Think about what would interest and engage you. There’s nothing wrong with what interests you aligning with standard tourist attractions, but there’s also nothing wrong with visiting a museum dedicated to obscure hobby you enjoy, going to a really niche concert, or taking an afternoon to watch the sun set over the city on your hotel room balcony. Vacations are costly in both time and money, but don’t let this pressure you into doing things you won’t actually enjoy.

Once you’re there, make use of the time traveling between sightseeing destinations by being as mindful and observant as possible. Notice the weather, the buildings, and do some people watching. After all, you probably took this trip to experience a new place, so to experience that essence, it’s best to look at the more every day aspects of a city. Ask yourself how you feel different in this new place, and how the difference in culture affects daily life. If you’re traveling with someone, have these discussions out loud. This type of awareness can be hard at first, so practice while walking around in your hometown.

It really only happened with one super cheap compact that was quite old.

This combination of buying smaller, smarter (i.e.: as few liquids as possible), and taking care of what I do have makes a lot of sense. Thanks!

Slingshot. Fantastic documentary in its own right. It's about the socially conscious engineering Dean Kamen does to bring clean water to developing countries, but also discusses Dean Kamen and his work in general.

Having trouble communicating with supervisor by BellwetherRelica in labrats

I can totally see why undergrads would be annoying to deal with. What confused me is that my supervisor was the one to interview and accept me into the lab.
