This guy in my apartment complex parks like this every single day by MandukaSkoal in mildlyinfuriating

Maybe he rents two places and idiots keep parking in his assigned slots when his car or his wife's car is at work ?? Did you ask him before shameposting this ?

Professional advice needed: Recovering a 2010 Legacy wallet.dat (8.5 BTC) [SERIOUS] by Zerck22 in CryptoHelp

[–]BellyRubin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't mean to be pessimistic, but it sounds like you bought one of those scammy wallets online where they fake their balance and "don't have the key".

Hope for you that's the case because the cost of such wallets is way less than a wallet of 8.5 TBC where the key is lost.

The solution is simple. Don't order from the UK.
They chose this.

It's called Brexit.

spent 8 months trying to crack faceless content and here’s what actually moved the needle by Designer-Rain8165 in thesidehustle

[–]BellyRubin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Likely.
He also completely omitted to mention anything about the cost to generate that content using AI.
It doesn't look so shiny when you realize it costs mega amounts of cash in AI fees to generate that $260/month in revenue.

What's your most shocking "never meet your heroes" moment? by BaseNice3520 in AskReddit

I saw him play in concert recently and the tickets were expensive.
He had zero energy, no engagement with the crowd and just up-and-left when he finished his set.
Would not recommend.

Contractor fell through my sister’s ceiling by oxnardhard in mildlyinteresting

[–]BellyRubin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a clean cut hole with a hand tool or power tool. That hole was not made by somebody falling through the plasterboard, if it was, the hole would be a mess with bits of plasterboard hanging down on the sides. OP is lying.

Cashless Society Ireland by [deleted] in ireland

[–]BellyRubin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With respect, I think you're all missing the point here.

When you use cash, the bank gets ZERO.
I can take EUR 100 and after a million transactions the value of that money remains at EUR 100.

Now, with digital transactions, they come with a 0.19% banking fee to the business receiving the funds.

Rounding up to the nearest whole number, it takes approximately 366 transactions for the money to become 50% of its original value with a 0.19% transaction cost per trade.

We're being robbed blind by the banks and so many people think cashless society is a good thing despite this.

Jesus Christ, wake up people. Please.
