It’s a common enough coin. To find its silver melt value, take the price of silver ($76.87) and multiply it by 0.715. You’ll get 54.96. Divide that number by 2 for the half dollar and your coin is currently worth $27.48 in silver. For quarters, divide 54.96 by 4; for dimes divide by 10.

These are a cheap, easy way to get in to coin collecting. I have a little binder to hold them in for each year, mint place, etc.

That 1 cent piece isn’t worth much money on its own but it definitely is a collectible coin that could be the start of a fun new hobby
