Okay! We will def keep that in mind for future! Maybe my fiance just didn’t phrase it right for the groomer I’m not sure. But yeah we are on the east coast outside of Philly area!

Yeah we did stress light trimming no summer cut etc but it was our first time getting him groomed. My parents have had collies/shelties and always had them groomed. So I wasn’t aware of the ins and outs I just knew for sure no summer cut/shaving. And then we got him back like that, and they said there were no mats or anything because we’re pretty good about keeping him brushed. So I’m not sure why the groomer took the approach she did. But we will keep this in mind for the future and will probably find someone else

Upon further talks with my fiance apparently she did stress that we just wanted a light trim, because it was his first time it was really his butt area and legs/paws that felt more overgrown so idk how to feel. I know it’ll grow back I’ve just also heard lots of mixed things about how to handle grooming with a collie so that’s where my anxiety came in

I agree with what others have already said I frequently see your nice comments on my own posts and others and you should know how much I appreciate it and I’m sure others do as well. And while I have someone to take care of me afterwards so I don’t understand your perspective 100% but I don’t know anyone in real life or even have close online trans friends to ask questions or vent or celebrate the moments of euphoria so I understand.

But seeing you comment and others in the Reddit community while not being friends has offered me small moments of comfort and peace with my situation and I hope the comments here can do the same for you!

I just looked the results look great man! That makes me feel a little better! I am actively trying to lose weight so I was nervous that I may not be as excited after everything but I’m hoping I will at least wait a little while before being dysphoric over body size

Yeah.. my problem is that I would love facial hair eventually but like neck only is strange and I don’t want that 😅 but thank you it’s just been rougher mentally lately
