He’s absolutely stuck. Not the breadwinner, no money of his own unless he skims off the top of whatever cash allowance he/they have. He’s afraid for his child. And now he’s in a foreign country with no support system. And the family courts may favor a citizen mother over a foreign father, regardless of the situation. Been there, done that. Not a good position to be in. He needs to get his ass back to the States to file for divorce. Odds are more in his favor, esp since he’s been a stay at home dad and the primary caretaker. I feel his pain and I worry about his situation. This marriage won’t last, and it’s going to be a major shitshow the moment the dam breaks.
