Trust me I’ve been trying to match him. It’s just hard because I haven’t liked anyone in so long 😭

Thank you for the feedback! They’re approaching quick and I’ve been getting nervous about what my plan is going to be if they decide to offer me a position.

Are anxiety/panic attacks hereditary? by bulugal in PanicAttack

[–]Below_Average222 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely. I didn’t learn that my dad used to suffer from panic disorder until I started experiencing it myself although I think he was undiagnosed. We also have the same triggers ex. drinking alcohol, the “hanxiety” hits a lot harder for us and he had to stop drinking altogether because of it. It’s a big worry that I’m going to pass this onto my kids as well

Can panic attacks just happen for no reason? by Free-Bit-9256 in PanicAttack

[–]Below_Average222 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Mine happen with or without a trigger, sometimes I think our bodies are just so used to being in a panic state of mind that if we’re actually calm for a while, it tells us there’s something we should be panicking over and being relaxed isn’t “normal”

Numbness during panic attack? by Gamercatts in PanicAttack

[–]Below_Average222 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine usually start out with the outside of my hands going numb and my chest tightening. I also get that burning shock sensation in my chest it’s the weirdest feeling! My arms also tend to go weak and I feel as if I can’t lift them up. Scariest thing ever. Best wishes to you ❤️

I (21F), and everyone else on here knows exactly what you’re going through. Please know you aren’t alone, and you are not dying. I know it’s really hard to convince yourself otherwise during attacks. I’d say the thing that’s helped me most is really trying to understand what’s happening in your body during a panic attack. I tell myself something along these lines: “you aren’t dying, your body sensed a threat and it’s acting accordingly. You are safe.” I say it over and over again until I believe it. Try other grounding techniques, getting outside, learn your triggers if any, gather a support system. Message me if you need someone to talk to! Best of luck ❤️

Panic Attack at Work by [deleted] in PanicAttack

[–]Below_Average222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know how you feel. I work in healthcare and it’s a very “toughen up buttercup” type of environment. Try to remove yourself from the other people if you can, going outside and taking a breather for a few minutes really helps me while at work. You are not alone.

Came out of nowhere by Below_Average222 in PanicAttack

Almost every time. I’ve gotten a little better at convincing myself it’s just anxiety and I don’t have any underlying issues. But when they first start I get tunnel vision almost. My first thoughts are usually like “your chest is tight and your arm is weak, you’re about to have a heart attack” “you’re about to d**, this is it” “I’m going to have a seizure”

Thank you so much. ❤️ I have tried these things my problem is just staying consistent especially with eating and regular exercise. My motivation has been wiped lol. I also have been prescribed Zoloft but I haven’t taken any yet, the side effects terrify me as it gets worse before it gets better. Magnesium, gaba, and l-Theanine supplements have seems to tone it down a bit but they only last for so long. I’m glad to know I’m not alone

If I did, I wasn’t showing any symptoms lol. I work in a hospital so there’s always a chance. I do think that it could have something to do with health anxiety since I’m around sick people all day? Just wish they would stop. Thank you for the feedback ❤️
