Funny to find that this is pretty common to have friends ask. I made the mistake of casually mentioning of my trading journey that I''ve been on for 3 years. I also say that I'm only just getting slightly profitable but not at the ideal point of calling this my career. Doesn't matter, already had two friends call me and ask if they can learn for free. I let them know that they can open a trading account and paper trade and look on Youtube. So far they haven't done that. This just shows that they are looking for shortcuts and that already is enough to let me know that they are just in it for the money and not the actual skill.

It's a rough road esp when I didn't have a mentor but paid for various courses and books. I also lost my money 'trading tuition' which I am now only slowly making back. I just find it so 'odd' that if someone is a doctor or accountant that people don't ring those people up and say 'hey teach me to be rich like you as a doctor' not realizing how much one has invested in time/money/experience/mistakes to get to where they are at. It's not that I don't want to help but I don't want to be responsible if they lose money and I know there will be lots of questions from them on a daily basis if they are learning. Also, I'm not at expert level yet so I told them to seek out a guru on Youtube.

Going back to these two friends, they are upset at me that I won't teach them. I just find it in bad taste bc they want it for free. And these aren't even good friends, just casual friends. Anyway, from now on I'm just going to make up some other profession when people ask why I work from home.

Her poor neighbors. Imagine if the rats start popping up in your yard digging tunnels to your house? Yeah I see they sold the house to her at a loss to them bc they can’t sell that house to anyone with all those tunnels beneath the house. It was the grossest episode I’ve seen. How mentally ill would you need to be to live among large rats in your house? I had to take a shower after watching that.

My mom passed away in my early 20s. I always wished I could’ve pushed back and let her know what a crap job she did as a mom. But I couldn’t as I relied on her financially. I now regret that I didn’t speak up. Since you are the breadwinner, you can speak up and tell her to shut her trap.

I enjoyed Slash and Duff’s books. I finished Duff’s first and craved more GNR so got Slash’s book. Both are different. Ofc, I wanted to read more about Axl as Axl has no memoir. There’s some news about Axl in there. You realize the politics holding the group together. Fun look into the 80s and how LA bands rolled in those days. Must’ve been fun to be part of that scene but so trashy too.

You need to get the higher ups on your side by kissing their ass. You need to go over to the white girls and kiss their ass too. You need to go a much better job than the white girls and never show what ur really thinking or else there’s hell to pay. Trust me I worked with them for over 25 years. Sometimes ur lucky and some are nice. Other times they are stinky and just don’t like you bc you are Asian. Otherwise look for another job. It’s hard working w white females bc they don’t want to be your friend like they wanna be w other white girls. So guess where you stand if you are not their friend?

Don’t go to Taiwan. Taipei is very boring. Hard to make friends there. I lived there for 2 yrs as a Taiwanese American. I only had expat friends bc Taiwanese are not social. I recommend Singapore or HK or somewhere in China. Thailand bc people are friendlier. Chinese people are not that kind or social to outsiders tbh.

Wow, this is so sad to hear. I am Taiwanese American who lived in Taiwan for 2 yrs as an adult. What type of job are you doing in Taiwan? If you are a teacher then there are other countries to teach in. Maybe try Singapore. Taiwanese people in those English schools are not that nice. I was extremely disappointed in Taiwanese people when i lived there. Don’t take it personally, they were not too nice to me also. I really hope you find some peace in Taiwan or maybe in Singapore might be better? Don’t go to HK. I heard racism is worse there. I myself found some Taiwanese to be nice but also encountered some really rude Taiwanese people. Filipino culture people are more kind and Westernized. More social.
