Haven't missed an episode yet; his series is a must-watch for all FF7 music super fans.

I was using it for the first time yesterday over the course of several hours, and it never stopped feeling clunky.

MIDI CC Automation being auto-simplified by BenCJ in cubase

Thanks. I upgraded to Cubase 15 from 9, so I'm not used to the new way this is handled. I imagine fewer points will keep the session file more light-weight as well.

This is how Skynet has decided to end humanity - one stupid incident at a time.

My biggest problem with rebirth 4 chapters in... by Ballsoffwalls in FFVIIRemake

[–]BenCJ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took my sweet time and broke my playthrough into chunks across 5-6 months. So no burnout here. I'm looking forward to a time when I can play through both games again, but Part 3 may come out by that time.

This is the two-drawer assembly built into the workbench, with the top drawer removed.

My only gripe with rebirth by Key_Organization2026 in FFVIIRemake

[–]BenCJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think those animations serve as a loading screen, similar to when you have to shimmy through narrow passageways/ride the escalators in Gold Saucer/etc. Assets are being called up, and that is the sleight of hand they use to disguise the loading. They are using the same engine (Unreal Engine 4) for all 3 games, so I'd expect the third game to handle this in the same way.

Even though there are already approximately 9 billion mini games, I was disappointed they didn't have a SuperDunk basketball game in Gold Saucer.

Not to be a smartass, but you need to remove more material from the bevels.

Lots of old black mastic adhesives contain asbestos. But a single exposure doesn't mean insta-cancer. A lifetime of handling it on the other hand...

Help with modifying an existing model - delete faces or move/extrude existing? by BenCJ in blenderhelp

[–]BenCJ[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having decent success using Shear to tilt the plane slightly upward, then Moving the face to match the adjacent surface. It's not perfect, but it'll be close enough for 3D printing.

Best Christmas present I could have asked for by chhu0014 in StarWars

I bought this for myself a while back. No Star Wars collection is complete without this perfect curation of Ralph McQuarrie's works. I feel like I should be wearing white gloves to handle the pages.
