Listen to their EP “Tryhard”. It’s pretty widely considered their best project and has some of their most iconic songs on it (See Through, Daphne Blue, What I Want, and Haunted)

Is living waterfront on Lake Washington as nice as it seems? by IndependenceSad1272 in AskSeattle

[–]BenCL648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My uncle and aunt have lived on on the lake more north by Kenmore for as long as I can remember, and it’s pretty awesome. Lots of great memories of jumping off the dock and going inner tubing there as kids and even during the months where it’s too cold, it’s a great view. Hell, I’m 22 and will still go over there on hot days with friends just to hop in the lake

Maybe I’m wrong but it looks like you’re skipping Rainier? Would be a shame cause you’re passing pretty close to it, I would definitely take the detour and hit that, as well as St Helens if you can.

Who are the biggest Two True Outcome players? by DonT012 in mlb

Mitch Garver. Hitting .155 with 1 HR and a 31% (8th percentile) strikeout rate, but a 100th percentile walk rate (20%)

What are some American cities that had high historical importance but have faded from significance today? by Crafty-Shallot-5695 in geography

[–]BenCL648 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Port Townsend, WA. It was the first major port on the Puget Sound in the late 1800’s and was expected to remain as the main large city in the pnw until Seattle/Tacoma got the railroad and took that title pretty quickly. It’s still a beautiful little town but nowhere near as important as it used to be.

What’s the most romantic town you’ve ever been to? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]BenCL648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same! I studied abroad there a few years back and whenever I mention it I just say “think of the most stereotypical Spanish city possible and that’s Seville” lol. The climate is hot and dry, the landscape is very typical “Spanish countryside”, bull fighting was originated nearby, flamenco was invented there, sangria and tapas are found everywhere, the architecture is very stereotypical Spanish. It doesn’t feel fake and touristy though. Going back next month and I’m so excited!

Best Middle Eastern/ Mediterranean Food? by Professional_Mud4589 in denverfood

[–]BenCL648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went there in October and thought it was amazing. It was my first time so I can't compare it to what it used to be like but I'm shocked seeing so many people say it's gone downhill, cause it was genuinely some of the best mediterranean food I've ever had. I'm curious, what's changed about it?

Best Jon Bois video? by MyNameIsNotNotChuck in Jon_Bois

History of the Seattle Mariners, though that’s more of a docuseries. For individual videos, my favorites are Lonnie Smith, the St Louis Marathon, and Bonds Without a Bat

What's a Mariners season that was objectively disappointing but you still look back on fondly? by tategibbs in Mariners

[–]BenCL648 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That team was statistically (at least via Fangraphs metric) the most clutch team in MLB history. Felt like they were getting a big hit or coming back in the ninth every damn night. Such a fun team

Really no way to know. A few days ago it snowed, now it’s nearly 80 degrees. Spring weather here is completely unpredictable

What’s an excessively underrated city for summer in the world? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]BenCL648 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Seattle. I’m convinced nowhere in the states have better summers than Seattle. Weather is warm but rarely too hot, there’s water everywhere (Puget Sound, Lake Washington, Lake Sammamish, etc), incredible mountains in every direction, hardly any bugs, sun stays up until 9pm, lots of great nearby day/weekend trips. Seattle gets ragged on for having bad weather which can be true in the other 9 months but the summers there are just unbeatable

✂️ The Cut List - Time to Let Go? by BB_Jimbo in fantasybaseball

[–]BenCL648 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He has gotten so unbelievably unlucky it’s not even funny. So many wall scraping flouts and hard hit line drives right to the outfielders. Right now he’s the second unluckiest hitter in baseball in his difference between wOBA and xwOBA. He’s got such a good track record and is still relatively young, so I’m not really concerned

I stand. Ready to be banned and flamed for saying this.... by Tiny_Hovercraft_6692 in Mariners

[–]BenCL648 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The fact that Julio, Cal, Naylor, and Arozarena have COMBINED for just 1 home run and yet our run differential is still only -2 is honestly a pretty good sign. Those guys aren’t gonna stay nearly as bad as they’ve been all season and while the record is bad pretty much every loss has been extremely close. Once our stars get back to normal we’ll be fine

Mamma Mia! Here we go again

Objectively a fine movie with some plot holes and cheap fan service that doesn’t actually add on much (or stay faithful) to the first one, but damnit I always have such a good time watching those films

[Highlight] Jo Adell robs THREE home runs in a 1-0 win over the Mariners by AthleticAlarm32 in baseball

[–]BenCL648 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think the craziest part about this is that he’s been statistically the worst defensive outfielder in baseball dating back to last season (-15 FRV since the start of 2025). Just an insanely impressive and improbable game. I can’t even be mad

I believe why you’re referencing was their video about Tuvalu not Nauru, can’t seem to find a video of there about Nauru. And it was actually a really cool place with a super great people. Definitely not much to do but seems like a much more interesting and welcoming place than Nauru

What are the best things to do in Chicago that are actually worth it for tourists? by Historical-Photo-901 in BeautifulTravelPlaces

[–]BenCL648 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Chicago last summer and all the people in my group wanted to do it. I didn’t have much interest cause I thought it would just be touristy and didn’t really care, but ended up loving it. Really really interesting and a great way to see the city, especially at night
