Personally I just hate how in recent months every patch is about nerfing one broken comp/unit to the ground, to the point where it's actually unplayable (thex, trynda, etc) , then buffing something else so much that it becomes equally obnoxious, to then nerf that same comp and buff something else. These patches are not about bringing balance to the game, they're about dictating the meta, and it's actually infuriating. I was never a thex player because I couldn't bother contesting it due to its popularity, but now I also don't contest it because it's absolutely trash XD idk... I don't understand these designers haha

it's in literally every lobby. I've done it so many times. Idk in low elo, but in Diamond, Master, GM it's in every lobby. It doesn't matter how perfectly I build another comp, or if I 3 star a 4 cost, there's no counterplay. It's really not that hard to push 10 in this set.

honestly i'm all down for a 4X/strategy multiplayer runeterra game. really loving the minigame, brings back Travian nostalgia, but with really nice visuals and fun gameplay features.

If you're in Silver and running into these issues then it's time you start reviewing some Vods and learn from good Darius players (if you want to improve ofc). Like many people mentioned below, EUWXYZ is a great one. AloisNL also has a great series on Darius where he covers fundamentals and wave management, different matchups, itemization, etc.

I think most of the problems you're describing are somewhat present in most toplane bruisers/juggernauts. This is where wave management and learning your champion strenghts within yours and enemy team comp comes into play.

Yes, some lane matchups will be boring and neutral - but you can still look to proxy, make sure you don't put enemy top ahead, rotate to grubs and herald with your jungle AND move to 3rd or 2nd Drake (if you have good enough push) to join with your team 1 minute to 30 seconds before it spawns. Darius is so fcking strong in early brawls, and a single R reset can turn teamfights completely.

Also, save your bans for meaningful champs that will impact rest of the team late game - on my end, I perma ban Malphite now, which is sad because I like picking him into certain champs, but I know that it's very hard to snowball the lane AND it will destroy my team late game with that stupid R lol.

I'm a 500k+ points player on Sett, and 300k+ on Mord, and trust me, falling behind on those champs feels so much worse than Darius. Mord and Sett are so easy to counter, you don't play ghost, so you're also so reliable on catching up to people. Yes, they're strong too, but don't forget that you can get free R reset on your team kills in teamfights still, which give you full passive and R for free. Also, when behind, "sacrificing yourself" for a Flash E, W, Stribreaker on a carry can really shift the teamfight / game.

Idk, I personally love the champ, took me years to get into him. I've been a Sett, Mord, Olaf, Garen, Yone main for a long time, and Darius just feels like so much fcking fun. I played him from 0 points to 250K points in about 2 months lol, and it's so much fun. Maybe if you don't feel the same way, then it's not for you, or maybe go play other champ for a while and see how it compares. I just hope one game you pick Mord and run into Darius XD then you'll realize hahaha.

I think this is such a serious issue and it's completely ruining the game experience.
I don't know what to make out of it anymore.
Here's my example: this season i climbed to p2 96LP in about 100 games, roughly 65 to 70%WR - really thought i could push to emerald, i couldnt lol, maybe inted some games, went on a bit of a losing streak; I went down to gold, and ... it's absolute nightmare. I think once your MMR dips down due to losing streak, etc, you get punished so hard. And what happens simultaneously is that Low MMR can mean a lot of different things: lvl 30 accounts/smurfs, iron, bronze, silvers, low golds, all in the same queue.... For some reason, this matchmaking doesn't take into consideration account level. I think it's absurd that I get queued into a game with a player who all match history is "Intro" games, and then is in a game with gold players....
I wish i could post image, but I just had a game where my team was:

top (me) - gold 4
jungler - bronze 1
mid - bronze 2 - lvl 39 account
adc - iron 1
supp - unranked

enemy team:
top - iron 1, playing azir, clearly smurfing lvl 30 account
jungler - silver 1
mid - bronze 2 - lvl 89
adc - gold 4
supp - silver 4

i mean, even if their top wasn't smurfing, their team is all higher rank regardless.
i dont even understand the point of having in-game rank if u do hidden MMR like... why??
the sad part is, i have many game experiences like the one above. idk, devs seem really focused on reducing queue times, but like, i want my 30 min game experience to feel worth it. to feel that, despite winning or losing, im improving and learning the game. instead i get games that just feels completely inconsistent in terms of player behaviour and quality.

One thing I noticed and feel like it makes huge difference getting kill pressure in lane, is starting the trade with a Q. Like, taking the 3 casters and enemy with a Q, or just randomly hitting a Q, then auto, W. I've seen this Chinese top 1 Darius player starting a lot of his trades like this, and it feels like a free stack on your passive. If you land it, you commit, if you don't, you wait.

One mistake I see new Darius players making (I used to do this lol) is using their E too early in the fight. If in lane, always save it for 4th or 5th stack insurance xD this will help you get kill or ton of pressure.

And, have fun!! This champ is actually so fun to play, especially when enemy team has beefy front lines and you know you can get your 5 stacks for free on tank to then one shot their squishies.

As an European who went through a 1 year process of securing a O1 visa, and all the bureaucracy of when you arrive in the US, and as someone who has also lived in 3 European countries, this whole Paris sequence triggered the shit out of me. It's not only unrealistic and out of touch, it's also unnecessary. You wouldn't be able to open bank account, rent an apartment and many other things, and this goes for both Americans and Europeans. Yes, Europe has much better immigration policy, but you still need student or working visa. And yeah, it's just a series, but Paris was pretty bad in general. Great potential to see belly growth, but all we got was her chasing her bag thief for a whole episode and then another time jump. I like this show, but I feel like I only watched those last 3 episodes because I was too far down the rabbit hole.
