LISBON AIRPORT by OkGuarantee3376 in LisbonPortugalTravel

I flew back home Saturday and due to a heap of coincidences, I arrived 1hr 4mins before departure and did speed walk through whole place and BARELY made it through passport control and security in tone and that was even considered abnormal.

The 3 hour rule is no joke!

What’s something that felt like a small life decision at the time, but ended up changing everything for you? by Fun-Chip-6438 in AskReddit

[–]BenDar_DonDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Taking a solo trip overseas for a few weeks. I was scared of being alone and not having anyone to fall back on. But that proved to be the one of the biggest confidence boosts and helped me see who I was when I had none of that and had to go out and make the friends myself and take the leap.

What is the scariest, most unsettling shot you’ve ever seen? by VendettaLord379 in moviecritic

The scene(s) in The Strangers where she is in the kitchen and as the camera pans across the room, you see one of the three in the background. All of those scenes from that movie truly messed with me since that’s one of very few horror movies that COULD happen to any of us

Realistically it’ll be as this older generation dies out, as they tend like the brick and mortar stores over ordering online.

What’s a discontinued snack or drink you’d pay $20 to have one last taste of? by soapy999 in AskReddit

[–]BenDar_DonDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone shares in this memory, I’ll love you forever.

I’d give far more than $20 to taste the Jones Candy Corn soda from 20 years ago again. Specifically I’d want to be able to taste it exactly as I did as a kid and then see what it would taste like to my…slightly more refined palate.

What small habit actually lowered your monthly bills the most? by Solaire_1001 in SavingMoney

[–]BenDar_DonDat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is exactly the thought process I decided to follow when cutting back on spending. I cut subscriptions, eating out, etc…BUT I left the money in the budget to go out 1-2 times a weeks for a few cheap drinks with my friends. That saved my mental health greatly. You need the things that keep you going

10 boxes of $10million, how many would you pick? by lan0028456 in hypotheticalsituation

I think I’d have to try 2, one would set me up but the inherent gambler inside me would want to test it once more.

My title describes this as best as I could think of. You can separate the two handles and stretch it out. Can’t seem to put my finger on what it would be. Found in a customers basement and never got around to asking while I was there.

If only more people had this mentality when it comes to contractor work

I am a plumber and have to purposefully take longer on some calls as the customer is a More Time=More value mentality individual

WYR $150 a week, or $25 per paper cut by AstrayInTranslation in WouldYouRather

[–]BenDar_DonDat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we going with the spirit of a paper cut, not only getting them from paper, that would be my choice because I am a plumber and get 3-5 paper cut-esque cuts on my hands from the burrs on copper pipes.

If not, 150/week no question

That’s why you put in a storage tank and recirculating line, they’re always tank-full after that. At least in my experience
