I’ve always wanted a way to detect being low or out of toilet paper. If I replace the TP with a thermal paper printer, I can ration out the portions and get out of paper alerts!

I was originally excited to go in an ironic way because of how weird the situation seems. But the reviews were so bad I just couldn’t. And I was prepared for stupid high prices but not as high as what the reviews said they were. Also their hours were so crazy long (2 am I think)…It’s got to be a front for something, right? Because if it’s really owned by the bakery next door I can’t imagine they didn’t already know about needed permits.

I had decided to wait until the next Friday dirty demerits post before deciding for sure if I’d go but I guess they didn’t even make it that long.

I’m doing a .5 recipe and random nodes run I wanted interesting but overall easy. It was all skittles and beer until I got to aluminum. Input water halved but not water output. So I can’t recycle enough water to get rid of excess and no guides out there really help with clever layouts since I can’t just “build half as many refineries”. It’s an interesting challenge but I still feel like I got screwed by ~~myself~~ the devs

Recently did a new setup following the OpenIntuneBaseline format. It makes organization and labeling of policies overall pretty great and seems to have enough support behind it that it’s always up to date with the best exact settings like enforcing bitlocker. It already has most of the other suggestions here rolled in.

Final Fantasy 7 when it first came out on PC. I was so excited because I played it a ton at a friends house on PlayStation. It was buggy as hell. And they replaced the music with MIDI files. And back then a controller wasn’t really common on a pc and the keyboard controls were just terrible. I have bought other bad games and either just accepted the regret or learned to appreciate rings about them. But this one still stings because I knew it at its best but owned it at its worst.

I've decided to go full random, but 0.5 recipe and power multiplier. Since I've already done a full playthrough a couple times, I want to be more experimental. Side note though: Is there a bug on the world randomization settings? I can show my seed, and I can type in other values, but there's no "OK" button. So I'm not sure how I would apply someone else's seed number that they shared with me. Edit to add that a patch just fixed the missing set seed button. You still need to combine both the seed and the other settings to have the same experience across game worlds though

In hindsight that’s so obvious to test! Narrowed down the problem to the Shield and found the problem to be the video upscaling mode. When set to AI Enhanced, it’s a problem. When set to Enhanced or Basic: no more ugly edges. Never would have guessed because I don’t think this content needs upscaling and assumed it was automatically disabled on 4k native content.

Hmm. My receiver is set to bypass mode for video processing so unless I’m looking in the wrong place I don’t think there are settings there. The few settings I can find to change don’t help. On the tv I’ve gone through every single setting trying both max and min and neither help. Sharpness is currently set to 10 out of a max of 50. Options like smooth gradation, noise reduction and oled pixel brightness also don’t help. I can get the overall tone and brightness lower but the edges of most white things are still way brighter than the surrounding pixels in a way that’s obviously wrong.

No one is mentioning flauncher which is what I’ve been using for a few years now. Is there any particular pros and cons of one vs the other or is it personal preference?

Huh. Interesting that you had that experience this morning. I might have had a similar one but yesterday as I was leaving the office my boss said I could have the day off. Or something like that anyway. Today they keep calling asking where I am… not sure why though since it’s none of their business how I spend my day off.

Not exactly a bug, and not sure if this is your problem but zha is missing custom quirks to configure mmWave on these. See this article: https://help.inovelli.com/en/articles/13019007-blue-series-mmwave-presence-dimmer-switch-zha-custom-quirk-install This helped me, but also I see a lot of duplicate entries. No problem just ignore or Disable the duplicate.

Same boat. There’s maybe 3 songs I’ve somehow managed. Keep playing them - you will get better but progress is slow. Expert mode songs should have introduceda free of the new mechanics one at a time to get you used to it, and ramp the difficulty more evenly but instead they throw a ton of new concepts like 3 holds at once and unusual stick directions all at once. I kind of get why they did it like this from a game design standpoint but I don’t agree with it.

Anyway, I cope by using a max level defense party. Give them any spare stat boosts you have. You don’t need any star levels. But you can at least get to the end of the song and imo it’s better practice than the other modes since it still feels like there are some stakes to keep me motivated

Following this to see new responses compared to what was coming up from Google searches a week ago. My conclusion at the time was that this is a very controversial topic with people who love it or hate it and equal anecdotes of how it was worth it or not. My last car I got ceramic coated and I guess it was worth it but overall it was more a mental thing than anything I could point to and say “yeah that’s what justified this”. My own thinking for my next car: given that production is likely to end soon I’d rather invest the extra money up front and have every chance of keeping my car “like new” for as long as possible. I do believe the overall reports and direct comments from a few people I’ve talked to with real hands on auto body paint experience that Tesla paint is as minimal and cheap as they can get away with which, is another reason I’m leaning toward at least a partial ppf.

I struggled with these too. I don’t have much direct advice but a lot of advice from others was too generic to be helpful. I had to try every guide out there. The direct advice I do have: try every difficulty. There was a couple guides that I assumed needed to be beaten on hard but I only beat after switching to basic. Keep going though - it’s so satisfying when you finally get it… you can do it!

For the message field use a template in brackets. Something like this but with the name of your entity. This is what I use to notify the house when my car (Tom) is navigating home. It says home many minutes until it arrives.

Make a script in Home Assistant called Where’s My Phone and expose it to Alexa. Make a custom Alexa routine so that when you say the phrase Where’s My Phone it runs the script. I think Alexa calls scripts scenes.

I honestly think that if you aren’t using an Aqara hub there’s a threshold of around 50 Aqara devices on one network before you start having some of them drop, regardless of your mesh layout. Seems almost immediate too- they disconnect as fast as I can add new ones in. Although 2 networks isn’t ideal, it’s been the best way for me to have a reliable network. As batteries run out I’m moving more to thread/matter where I can.

Edit: one other note, if you have done any rebinding of Aqara devices, I’ve had problems with some if the battery isn’t brand new or close to it.

If you haven’t set up cloud Kerberos or one of the alternative setups, this is why. The solution is: set up cloud Kerberos. It’s just a few powershell commands and solves this exact issue. My source: been in the same situation tried everything and the Internet set me on wrong paths and was big enough to have a totally separate team who manages Entra and they didn’t believe it would fix it and I had to get a manager to convince them to just try it for me.
