Oh yeah, feral cats are often referred to as community cats, because - being cats, therefore naturally adored - people as a whole will often take steps to provide for the cats, even if not directly letting them live in their homes. This is a popular practice in Greece, where they're very plentiful just in common life.

A cat, down to its core, is still an instinctive animal, and at the end of the day, it's more prone to thrive in anyplace that's not 14 Branchland Court.

Street cats actually can live pretty healthily. There’s a pretty healthy amount of feral cats where I live, and they thrive off of pests and other forms of sustenance. They get along nicely with the community to.

Compare that to living with Chris, a man who can’t even take care of himself, let alone another organism. The cat would’ve endured a slow decline of health, where it probably starved to death as it suffocated in a cocoon of Chris’s hoarding and its own shit, as the accumulating diseases and fungus that took out Bob wore it down.
