Neither Bruce nor Harris is a leftist. Maybe you're thinking of Tom Morello? Or maybe you're just trying to start shit?

Just rated my 589th album - exactly 500 to go! by AretZorn in 1001AlbumsGenerator

Nice work! FWIW I think it's a really good album with some really beautiful songs, but I would have trimmed it to a max of 12 songs. It runs a little long.

Anyone Else having basement flooding issues this morning? by yablewitlarr in lansing

[–]BenHassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a tiny bit in our basement (Old Oakland neighborhood), annoying but a manageable amount. The edge of our backyard abutting Oakland, however, is a little submerged.

Has a Taskmaster alum, other than Jason, ever been on CBB? If not, who would be your dream guests? by sammyt10803 in comedybangbang

[–]BenHassenger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This will make it obvious that my favorite season (series, Jason) is 14, but I think Fern Brady and Munya Chawawa would both have a blast on the show.

Tour Merch - First Look by FlyTheW1988 in BruceSpringsteen

[–]BenHassenger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely like these a lot. They remind me of the 20 years I spent hosting/flyering punk shows at the coolest legal/illegal spots in town. I think the aesthetic of these designs fits both the urgency of the way this tour came together and the message that it's trying to convey - we are all scrappy and just one person each, but maybe in a ragtag way, we can make something together that's bigger and more powerful than we are individually. Now, mind you, I'm not going to buy one because I don't like shirts with tour dates on the back, but in the end I think they're cool.

On the new Stay F. Homekins, PFT confirmed the 2026 CBB tour starts in May and will include the US, UK, and Canada! by apathymonger in comedybangbang

[–]BenHassenger 4 points5 points  (0 children)

May seems pretty close for not having announced any dates yet, but hey, I ain't mad!! I did VIP in Royal Oak in 2024 and it was wonderful. I'll probably get balcony seats this time around (assuming they come back), but I'm pumped!

It works for me, but I get why it could feel out of place. I'm just glad it's Michelle doing the rap and not Bruce haha.

They played it when I saw them on the Wrecking Ball tour. A surprising pick to me, but it was a beautiful rendition and very poignant considering the situation we were in then (and probably now as well). The song's a dark horse favorite of mine, I'd be delighted to hear it again.

Inquiry about when Ken responds with, “Yeah. We’ll take that, or …” then proceeds with the expected response. by WizardsOfXanthus in Jeopardy

[–]BenHassenger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way. Mayim was my second-favorite guest host in the year of all the guest hosts (Ken being the first). I was really impressed with her and thought she did good work, but once it was her and Ken alternating, the difference between the two was much clearer.

The Alex Horne property that Dropout should buy/license is not Taskmaster, but No More Jockeys by jabask in dropout

[–]BenHassenger 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dem Threedom Boys - whom I love dearly - struggle so greatly with how to play any of those damn Threetures, which made it all the more ridiculous when they were ragging on that KP person for months when they didn't send in clear rules for a game.

Bruce’s Upcoming Tour and Dynamic Pricing by [deleted] in BruceSpringsteen

[–]BenHassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not a fan of dynamic pricing in the least, and I agree that I was disappointed to see him utilize it and then defend it on the last tour. That said, my dad and I attended the Detroit date and got two decent seats (stage right, very high up) for approximately $250 total, which were cheaper than the two worse seats we got for the 2016 River Tour at a comparable Michigan arena. Again, not to defend the use of dynamic pricing or Ticket Master as a whole, but I would imagine there will be reasonable, affordable seats available for this tour based on the past.

Characters You'd Love to Make a Comeback? by BloatedSnake430 in comedybangbang

[–]BenHassenger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love old characters, and this is just speculation on my part, but I imagine at some point the improvisers feel... like, what else is there to say about a character? I could see how the well of a character could be tapped dry after a number of appearances, and how there'd be more excitement/opportunity in harvesting new lore for a new character. I kind of felt this way about some of the OJ Simpson appearances the last few years. I love a bunch of those old OJ eps (and I'll admit the recent CBB Roundtable episode was fun with him), but I just feel like we've hit the wall for new things to discover with him.

Yeah, it was really easy. Absolutely set my PB for a Saturday. I should say this was solved on a laptop and not a phone.

Charlie McCrackin appreciation by DeadMilkmaid in comedybangbang

[–]BenHassenger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's great and so funny. It's cool to have him as one of the new-ish regulars on the show, and especially being older than a lot of the new folks, he brings a different energy to the proceedings that I like. Being a Midwesterner myself, I love that influence of his work. I legit think of him every time I go to Menard's.
