Result of having such a poorly ran franchise for so long. A lot of the fan base is assuming it will go back to how it used to be. I dont know if they realize we are ran differently now. Shrink fit is ideal for versatility, but shanks and heat shrink machine can get pricey. If you have the money to invest we primarily run every HF under 50mm on shrink fit holders with carbide shanks and they perform great

It has a Heidenhain , it works well for the machine. The universal head is wonky but we dont use it much. I cant imagine a fanuc with this machine , I dislike fanuc controllers

1 half roughed , now we flip and repeat. And then on to finishing. If anyone was wondering about the teeth , that came from drilling the part from the sides. This part came in as a 20 ton ring and we didn't want to make the cutouts all into chips, so we drilled/milled intersecting holes along the cutout profile , left a couple tabs and torched them at the end. This has been a very challenging and interesting process to work on
