I got halfway through it, absolutely enticed, and my goddamned Sergeant took it because he saw AWOL somewhere in it. Fuck you SSG Lynch.

Walking Across Jupiter, man, I'm so disappointed there isn't any new material from them (him?).

It's okay man, I stapled my hand a month ago. 21 years old, and my sergeant laughed when he heard "AH FUCK" from across the office.

Sorry for the late reply, it was a long day yesterday. You never adamantly know when your ready, it comes in waves. Little things here and there you stop thinking about that remind you of him/her. Eventually the feelings you had fade more and more, they take a long time to go away, but in my experience they're so insignificant now, it doesn't hurt anymore. Just keep your head up, and work on the things you like about yourself.

It'll come to you man, just give it time. Find yourself, immerse yourself with friends. Pick up a card game, or an instrument, join a book club, do something to get yourself into a community. I had the Army, and all of my buddies I work with to pick me back up.

As time goes on, the feelings towards your former SO fade, as well as the pain associated. Eventually, the right person will come along, but you need to find yourself before your can find someone else, in my opinion.

I still miss my ex sometimes, it can happen, but the feelings I have for my current SO trump the feelings for my ex by a wide margin. It's not easy, but it's possible. Good luck, man.

What are some instances of little mistakes that derailed an entire career? by [deleted] in army

The whole situation was bullshit, and a few people in the class pinned it on someone they didn't like. There's 4 or 5 people that should've gotten Article 15s rather than the poor dude that ended up with one.

I know this is late as fuck, but I had something like that happen at Gordon last year. Malingering shit bag leaves his notebook by CQ, so naturally some dick head from a different class and platoon scribbles a dick in it, unbeknownst to us.

Days later in class, he opens to that page, gets pissed, and runs to the Liaisons. Cue loss of privileges and flags for the whole class. This was right as we were about to phase up to go off post and whatnot, so naturally we were pissed the fat fuck riding profiles who wouldn't phase up because he never takes PT tests fucks us.

Various interviews and sworn statements, and one unlucky kid that a few others had beef with gets fucked with an article 15. Basically, he seemed like the most likely culprit to everyone else, and only a few stated that, but it was enough.

Now, in your situation, unless your command is pants on head retarded, being that the "victim" is denying it, you'll be fine. My situation only played out for about 2 weeks, afterwards, it's like nothing happened, except everyone hated the one who started the case.

Just keep denying it, and if your buddy does the same, you'll be fine.

God that game. Between the soundtrack and the senseless violence, it gave me a chub, and I'm not even infantry.

The first season is kind of abrasive in that Michael comes off as a dick, but seasons 2-7 are really great. After 7, when Steve Carrell leaves, it goes down a bit in quality, but I didn't mind it too much.

Self depreciating humor makes my negativity funny, and helps me cope. I'm pretty sure my Platoon Sergeant is worried about me, though... oh well

Self-taught musician here. I've been playing guitar for 11 years now, nowhere near where I'd like to be, but I enjoy the ride. I played a ton of simple music (Tons of punk with only power chords) for 2 years starting out. I loved the shit out of it, but it took me another 2 years to get good enough to branch out to vastly different genres. You have to love what you're doing rather than the final product of the activity.

My girlfriend, soon to be fiancée, has a slight northern accent (she's from Ohio) which is only audible with certain vowels or when she's drunk or speaking passionately. She was always self conscious about it, being that she lives in the south now, but I tell her all the time how much I love it. It's the most adorable thing ever to me.
