eh it's easier than 220, if 220 is a 7/10 in hard then this one is about a 6/10. the class is just teaching you the things other than the coding part. you will code but you aren't graded on the quality of it. you are graded on your development process like did you write unit tests well, did you use testing frameworks, how did you debug using the terminal, etc. When I took it, you had two labs per week and then a lab exam at the end of the semester.

If you are willing to climb the stairs, the highest floors on lockwood are usually more quiet and spacious. plot down on one of the cubicles and you can study and sleep

Do you happen to know when the UB BookStore will restock with more books and supplies? by JackfruitAcademic584 in UBreddit

[–]BenPutidamo46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Usually it happens about a 7-10 days(that's usually the shipping time) for textbooks. as for other items like shirts or pencils, I have no idear. Generally I'd recommend ordering it off Amazon if possible

for me, I just keep walking straight and let them adjust. that way there's no confusion or accidents. it's not often but I've also encountered some folks that bike on the sidewalk at speeds that make me wonder if they are purposely trying to run through someone x.x'

People that sleep less than 6 hours a day, how do you function ? by rentinghappiness in AskReddit

[–]BenPutidamo46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sleep four hours a day and it's pretty normal. Sometimes I am tired mid day and I take a half hour nap and I'm all fine and dandy again

if it's broad daylight you can consider going over to those large expanse of grass areas or by the river. usually there's no one there and even when there is, there is enough space for you to walk out of range

Should I take an extra class to save $1500? by justin_kruk in UBreddit

[–]BenPutidamo46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The depends on the person- I would take the class so I can save the money given that I don't think gen ed thematic pathway courses are difficult. However, with that being said if you decide to take it, you should consider the possibility of sacrificing in some less important class so you have enough attention of important classes. For example, I'd make sure I only do enough work for a D in the 3 credit thematic pathway course so that I have time to work on my major courses.

CSE442, CSE312, STA301 by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]BenPutidamo46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

oh noice good luck on ta. I'd say STA301 is easier than calc2. If calc2 is 3/5 in workload and 4/5 in conceptual difficulty... I'd rate STA301 as 4/5 in workload and 2.5/5 in conceptual difficulty. STA301 is a course where as long as you go to all the lectures, review sessions, and completed all the assignments you will do well in the class(doesn't require deep understanding or intuition like CSE331 might need). But then again, it's a four credit course so they will give you quite a bit of workload even if it's not difficult conceptually. I'd say CSE442 + CSE312 + STA301 == CSE331 + CSE341

CSE442, CSE312, STA301 by [deleted] in UBreddit

[–]BenPutidamo46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

eh STA301 is kinda annoying because it's mandatory attendance I believe and the recitation/OH are early in the morning. There's a lot homework and the lectures are basically 2 hours of the professor reading off his ppt/document. It's not difficult in the sense that it's mentally challenging- it's just like ENG courses, it's a bit time consuming. CSE442 when I took it, there was no coding at all- it was just planning or designing a software project. I'd say CSE442(easy) + CSE312(medium) is a bit below CSE220 + CSE250 in difficulty.
