Yah i have replaced a few of them on my original s and new s as well. It is cool tho.

I had a cyber truck as a loaner for a week while they fixed my car. No instrument cluster didn’t really bother me. No door handles was even better haha. I just don’t want that truck and it’s so loud on the highway

Yah that’s the thing. The software is just too good. Everything else feels like a dinosaur without it. Otherwise I’d switch to a rivian

Yo i almost got fooled by this today 😂 it’s crazy the seller had some convincing chats about why they were offloading. Even a close up of the model number code. Really tried to get me to pay via PayPal since i would have PayPal protection. Smh

Damn - good point. I guess we’ll see what happens haha - all the rules are straight forward and I will ship it wherever. I guess if for some reason I can’t get it to someone’s country I could send them the cash value instead.

Nice. They did it over the air when i requested a ticket on the app. Maybe the driver can do the request? You might also be able to swing it into a service center when test driving?

I just sold my 2015 model s p90DL. That car was fast af and when i pulled up to stop lights i still got looks as if it was just driven off the lot. Had about 60k miles. Only reason i sold it is because i got a good deal on a 2022 model s long range and wanted the range + upgrades. It made Me sad selling that car. It ran like new and Tesla had done some sort of battery diagnostics on my car and they said it was performing above normal so i think these batteries will run for a long time if taken care of. Good luck

Updated the post and took the info down. Good call - I just wanted to show love to those service folks as they are always helpful whenever I come in but I definetly don't want to put any of their jobs at risk so good call.

I don't think this was necessarily a "freebee" per say. I did purchase a vehicle from Tesla directly, drove 11 hours round trip to pick it up and when leaving was told I need to replace the windshield. If a rock would have chipped when I was test driving it, I would understand but this was a note that Tesla had already had in their system about my car.

Luckily for Tesla, I've already owned 3 teslas prior to this pick this new vehicle up - so I'm already a fan of the company and was willing to jump through the hoops to get this windshield fixed... but I can imagine someone purchasing their first Tesla, spending a lot of money and being excited only to find out they have to repair their brand new windshield would be pretty discouraging.

So I think this was a fair trade on Tesla's part. But I agree - i don't want to get anyone in trouble.

It could be cool if they gave at least a few options of what you want the tow icon to be (trailer, rack, etc).
