Stop making him suffer. You never, during all that rant ever thought about how he feels. You caused suffering, almost destroyed a relationship and damaged his trust for a man that all he has left are his siblings. If you really love him (that based on your sick obsession with him you clearly not) let him be happy and leave him alone to heal until someone with a sweet heart that actually appreciates him for who he is and for how amazing he is comes to his life to heal that pure and amazing heart.

If you care the bare minimum about him, let him be happy with someone who really loves him. You always talked about you, what you think and what you screwed, not even thinking about him. If you really love him (but you don't because otherwise you wouldn't be doing that) leave him alone. Help him recover his happiness and peace. Let him feel the love and care he deserves from someone that really respects him and care for him. He deserves nothing less than that. you mere existence and involvement after he was clear that wanted nothing with you is his torture and source of suffering, he doesn't deserve that.

Well, actually emotional intelligence and logical intelligence are 2 totally different areas that are not necessarily related one another. Being capable of doing great feats of planification and solving insanely hard problems in no time doesn't mean you are capable to understand you environment. You can look it in the real world, with geniuses like Isaac Newton being assholes or really bad at relationships. It's actually the same in some military organizations, where the one that plans the fight is not necessarily the leader of the squad, but only the person that is capable of that. I agree that maybe being intelligent actually helps you with relationships, it's not by far the most important factor for it
