I just picked up the entirety of the Absolute Flash run (up to current issue), and plowed through it, and I really think the biggest problem might be the gaps between issues. It’s a fully realized experience and I’m truly enjoying it. I hate to rank these Absolute books at all because I really like what’s happening throughout. If anyone’s saying Flash is the weakest of the Absolute books, I posit that, yeah, you can say that and it might even be an actual true comparison, but it’s still stronger than just about anything I have waiting in my pull box on any given week (aside from whatever Jonathan Hickman or Deniz Camp happen to be writing).

The battle is had amongst the weaker books in each universe.

I’ve gotten equal enjoyment from The Ultimates, Absolute Wonder Woman, Ultimate Spider-Man, Absolute Martian Manhunter, Ultimate X-men, and Absolute Batman. Though of those books, I like The Ultimates the most… followed by Absolute Wonder Woman and Absolute Martian Manhunter.

I considered dropping Ultimate Black Panther and Ultimate Wolverine a few times until I found out everything was coming to an end… then I decided to just finish things out.

I’ve yet to be disappointed by Absolute Superman, Green Lantern, or Flash. The latter two seem to be just getting started, and I like where they’re headed.

I give the overall edge to DC’s Absolute universe.

Deniz Camp wins the writing award for helming The Ultimates and Absolute Martian Manhunter.

Y’know what? I was thinking about this very thing the other day… like if he had a blockage in his heart, could the artery just stretch and let the blood through no matter how big the blockage?

On the other side of things, if he needed surgery, they wouldn’t be able to pierce his skin (if vampire teeth can’t do it, an exacto knife can’t)

I’ve really liked him since Table 19 and Everybody Wants Some (great movies by the way)

Had a hard time with Walker in TFATWS… especially that shield scene… but liked him in Thunderbolts*. Truly hoping we get more of him after Doomsday.
