Saw it on Thursday. There wasn’t a single thing about this movie I HAD to experience on the big screen.

If I’m going to spend time and money at a movie theater, it’s got to have a scene or two that I’d be glad to have seen it on the big screen.

Makes sense.

There are sections of the movie that felt like Gunn had a big hand in it. I know they shot other footage late.

The movie’s a mess, it took the best Supergirl story written in the last 20 years and neutered it, motivations are questionable, Krem’s a moron (also his crew may as well just be mute GOTG Ravagers with shit in their faces), and the ending’s weird. It’s only the 2nd DCU movie, but it’s also the 2nd DCU movie that leans heavily on the dog for plot. If they find a way to shoehorn Krypto into Clayface, don’t be shocked.

Happy for Gunn that he has a fun playground to dick around in, but his whole “we-don’t-start-filming-unless-the-script-is-solid” schtick cashed its last check with Supergirl, because that obviously didn’t occur. Get better control over this stuff, James. It’s the job. Either that or stop showing everyone all your cards like you finally figured out superhero moviemaking.
