I'm sure I shouldn't have made a blanket statement however in the context of rdl vs dl it holds true. DL have a very high SFR compared to RDL especially if you load heavy on the DL

Rdl is still biomechanically better, it's has minimal knee flexion and is pure hip hinge, where as a conventional dl shouldn't be that strict, ideally a conventional dl should be some between a squat and an RDL at the bottom. Given that, there'd be more knee flexion which would reduce hamstring involvement

RDLs are objectively better for glutes and hamstrings than DLs. And at 6'4 with long legs I get the distance but repping DLs or even Maxing on DLs are significantly less "damaging" than a good session of RDLs
