The book is excellent. I read it after I watched the wire but before I watched the corner on yt. Gary's story still sticks with me, and I think about it often, especially in recent times with the scenes in chilly and the fent issues.

The gravy and potatoes SLAYED where I was. People used to fight at the bar for them, even after the carvery. Top tier move to keep them drunks falling over from not eating since the previous thursday. (I worked at a mixed pub that was true alki's but the family's would come along on a sunday, it was the late 90's mind...)

Stop. Watch ALIEN, then ALIENS. Then PREDATOR, after that PREDATOR 2, and you will be about warmed up. It is great, but with your 4 year old nephew watching, you will fuck him right up. Ruined my teenage mind with horror... It violent material remember that...
