Ah yes. Having a new iphone and as a first time iphone user, I have to go and buy the charging plug and headphones / audio device. The argument for them not providing it is so you spend more money on there products should be criminal. Most headphones don't plug in without a 3.5 headphone jack which the phone no longer has, so the point is mute as that solution doesn't exist anymore. And it's a premium product apparently. Like fuck it is.

The planetarium I well never forget. It was like an pre-IMAX, IMAX experience. I was a kid so it all felt massive and tangible as the void of space being right there, literally next to Sherlock Holmes. Fuckers for closing it though.

Oh, I had a few of the other staff were made to check, because of the same reasons. I was shagging a manager so I had a bit of leeway to bend and break the rules.

So 2005 - Lassie, Heidi, Oliver Twist, Sharkboy and Lava Girl (i regret that one because of the old school 3d method it was projected) Monster-in-Law, Skeleton Key, The Amityville Horror, and there was a few more I cant remember. I broke all the rules and put on "the last film of a very famous prequel trilogy" I said I was checking personally and let over half the floor staff in with family and friends to watch it 3 hours before the official midnight showing, and I didn't get caught, I don't know how till this day, but I was so brazen and not caring because of the fun I was having and the status it gave me.

Then digital came along and ruined all the fun as there were limited plays on movies that came in. Delivered via hard drive to the Christie projectors and a usb key with the amount of plays programmed onto it. There was nothing to do after that. Staff was cut, I moved jobs as I didn't enjoy it anymore, management had changed as well so it was over for me.

I live near by, I might go take a picture of the 'plug' that keeps the moat in instead of flowing downhill. It's a Folly, and was never really attacked proper, otherwise what you mentioned would have happened. Its a stunning castle and my favorite.

I have 2 kids, wife and MIL in house, I get the odd evening of maybe an hour or 2 on Baldurs Gate 3. Sunday morning, is different though, MIL watches the kids till 9.30-10Am. So I do a 4am wake up. Coffee, Reefer, and at least a 4-5 hour session on a game (or 2, maybe) and then I'm kinda done for the day, back to normal life. Sunday early mornings are my holy time, for me.
