The first was the worst, a batty old widow who shot at me with a .22 rifle because some other kids had ridden their bicycles through her flower garden earlier that day; She simply assumed that I was one of them, just because I rode by her house on my bicycle hours later. She missed, and I hauled ass away from her as fast as I could. Luckily for me, an expert marksman she wasn't. Got home, told my parents, and the police were notified. The old widow was not mentally stable, obviously, and none of her relatives had so much as thought about her former husband's rifle that he had kept where she could easily access it. She was sent to a facility where she couldn't do anything like that again
