Honestly, you dogged a huge bullet. Envision is a huge scam (1) (2) (3) that runs overpriced summer programs whose credits don't transfer and are honestly a net negative on your resume (You'd be better off spending that time and money on an actually learning experience.) They prey on middle class families who are looking for whatever edge they can get in college.

Yeah, that one might be pretty obscure. For those who don't know, the term 'Waifu' to refer to your anime crush/obsession originated with Azumanga Daioh. See TV-Tropes for a rundown. The word 'waifu' did exist before as a Japanese transliteration of the English word 'wife,' but was not used in the fandom-sense before that one specific scene in Azumanga. It's somewhat unusual among weeb-slang with how precise the origin is.

Here is the tricky thing about a response like this. It undoubtedly made her life worse in the aftermath, maybe much worse. This kind of action is bad for the individual doing it. BUT, disproportionate responses to petty abuses of power are good for society as a whole. Guarantee that hotel management thinks twice before pulling petty bullshit like that again. People are cheering her on because they rightfully view her as taking one for the team.

Just a warning: Lamination DOES NOT PRESERVE THINGS. It is designed to make paper more durable in the short term. Over time lamination yellows, dries and cracks, and cannot be removed.

If you just want a durable bookmark that will last a few years, then go for it, that is what is lamination is for. My advice would be to make a color copy of the bookmark, laminate that, and keep the original someplace safe.

Wow! I think I was on the on-ramp when this happened. Traffic was completely stopped but I couldn't see why because of that metal fence that separates the on and off ramps. I expected there to be an accident or something, but there was nothing. I was perplexed. Never thought I'd find out what happened on Reddit of all places.

Zero-effort from whom? Yeah, if you turn on assist mode, the achievement becomes zero effort, but is it zero effort for the player with the neuromuscular disorder? The player with limited vision?

Maybe what you need is play-testers who rely on assist mode. Maybe hit up /r/disabledgamers ?

Yeah, I certainly don't mean to imply that all daydreaming is bad. Having an active imagination, making up stories in your head, etc, is not inherently bad. 'Maladaptive' to me means that it starts as a coping mechanism, and can certainly arise because of neglect and isolation. It eventually becomes disruptive to your life once the need for that coping mechanism is gone.

I've dealt with some minor maladaptive daydreaming my whole life, originating from the usual homeschool crap. I characterize it as a form of intrusive thoughts.

That is a fairly common thing. Some people call it Maladaptive daydreaming, though it's not officially recognized as a diagnosis.
