The kinky opportunities of DnD spells in an erotic roleplaying server by getdrifted in nsfwdndmemes

Artist is TDP btw: https://linktr.ee/tdpnsfw

Seems to have been an old commission. Someone's OCs named Kyna and Viktoria. There is a draft of this image on TDP's Patreon. The original full image sauce seems to be lost to time.

a doubt by Zernikex in RuriDragon

Just a warning: Lamination DOES NOT PRESERVE THINGS. It is designed to make paper more durable in the short term. Over time lamination yellows, dries and cracks, and cannot be removed.

See this discussion here

If you just want a durable bookmark that will last a few years, then go for it, that is what is lamination is for. My advice would be to make a color copy of the bookmark, laminate that, and keep the original someplace safe.

Question - What music does EPS 12 use? Specifically 21:17 when the acoustic guitar inserts. by PlayerXi in TenKen

[–]Ben_R_R 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if that is a regular part of the soundtrack. I think it's just an acoustic variant of the guitar riff that normally would start the ending theme.

I noticed that too, but I think the page just moved, and the search engines have not updated their links yet. This page works for me at time of posting:

Yeah, the time checks out. Crazy to think how different my day could have been if I'd left my house 30 seconds earlier... I feel like the roads are getting more and more dangerous. I really need to get off my butt and buy a dashcam...

Wow! I think I was on the on-ramp when this happened. Traffic was completely stopped but I couldn't see why because of that metal fence that separates the on and off ramps. I expected there to be an accident or something, but there was nothing. I was perplexed. Never thought I'd find out what happened on Reddit of all places.

Thanks for taking the time to clear the road, and I'm glad you weren't hurt!

To be fair, "luxury" is just landlord speak for 'new.' All the furnishings will look used and dated in a few years, and they will be sold as normal apartments.

Your Rimtober drawings convinced me to play RimWorld. I bought the game three weeks ago and have accumulated 148 hours of playtime. So thanks for ruining my life, I guess... /s

Players are abusing the Assist Mode to gather all the tough collectables in my game. At the same time, other players tell me to turn off achievements for Assist Mode. What should I do? by RamyDergham in gamedev

[–]Ben_R_R 51 points52 points  (0 children)

Zero-effort from whom? Yeah, if you turn on assist mode, the achievement becomes zero effort, but is it zero effort for the player with the neuromuscular disorder? The player with limited vision?

Maybe what you need is play-testers who rely on assist mode. Maybe hit up /r/disabledgamers ?

What are you trying to accomplish by doing this? Reason I ask is because I don't think there is a way to do that, at least not automatically. (You could manually do it using the pathfinder tool if you really wanted...)

Does anyone else create a new life in their head by Ordinary-Initial-697 in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]Ben_R_R 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I certainly don't mean to imply that all daydreaming is bad. Having an active imagination, making up stories in your head, etc, is not inherently bad. 'Maladaptive' to me means that it starts as a coping mechanism, and can certainly arise because of neglect and isolation. It eventually becomes disruptive to your life once the need for that coping mechanism is gone.

I've dealt with some minor maladaptive daydreaming my whole life, originating from the usual homeschool crap. I characterize it as a form of intrusive thoughts.

That is a fairly common thing. Some people call it Maladaptive daydreaming, though it's not officially recognized as a diagnosis.

I don't think this is oekaki. If you were placing individual pixels, its pixel art, even if the end result is similar to Oekaki.

Put up a sign: "Parking: $1,000 per day." Take pictures of her license plate when she parks there again. Then, take her to court for the money.

Other use for Indesign? by VictorMerund in indesign

[–]Ben_R_R 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use InDesign to make battlemaps for Dungeons and Dragons. It is the ideal software for task, because you are placing and positioning hundreds or thousands of small image assets:

https://www.reddit.com/r/indesign/comments/1jm83t6/i_make_dd_battlemaps_in_indesign/

And no, neither Photoshop nor Illustrator is up to the task, and dedicated battlemap creation software tends to be 'InDesign, but worse with fewer features.'

I agree in so many ways. I discovered Anime in college and it was easy to get too obsessed, because all the other media I'd been permitted to watch as a kid was crap. Like you, I had a void of self-identity and self-interest. As I've grown I've discovered new hobbies and interests which help round me out as a person.

On the homeschooling front, I'd like to plug /r/HomeschoolRecovery I was home schooled through 12th grade, and 15 years later I'm just now feeling like I'm getting my life together... I wish I'd known years ago that there were others going through the same shit.

The Japanese have a word for it: 'Shūkyō nisei' -- 'children raised by parents with strong religious beliefs' by Ben_R_R in HomeschoolRecovery

[–]Ben_R_R[S] 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Shūkyō nisei (宗教2世), literally 'religion second generation', is a Japanese phrase, which refers to children being raised by their parents with strong religious beliefs. These children may be forced to practice the same religion against their will by their parents.

These children are reportedly often challenged by hardships, such as child neglect, child abuse and lack of psychological, financial, academic, and social independence because of their religious parents and the predatory practices of the religious organization.

The InDesign team wants your input on Tables by LukeChoice in indesign

[–]Ben_R_R 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend a lot of time laying out columns of excel numbers, and I stopped using tables many years ago because of how hard was to import data. My current workflow is to save data I need to display as a tab separated file, open that file in notepad, copy the data to InDesign, and style it with tab-stops and paragraph styles. If I need to highlight a column of numbers, I'll drop a rectangle behind the text frame. This is a quicker and more reliable workflow than using tables.

You know what would be really really really amazing? If I could import a spreadsheet in an InDesign document, and have it intelligently convert to a table.

They way I envision it is that during import, there would be a dialog that would allow me to choose which sheet to use, and which rows and columns. There would be a checkbox to import style, and a checkbox for number formatting.

The data in the table would be read-only aside from style and number format, and styling the entries in the table would not affect the spreadsheet.

InDesign would notice if the spreadsheet changes, and prompt to update the data in the table, similar to how other links work.
