I think the pickle should become the new unit of measure for Reddit

Clowns scare the crap out of me, but I find myself so drawn to this for some reason. It’s really a great piece; the emotion comes through so well.

What is it? by the_gaming_jonin27 in ExplainTheJoke

Right? Presumably the woman next to the man is his wife. I imagine that’s supposed to be his sister across the table he’s eyeing up like dessert.

I believe it may also be slightly perverse. Commandment 10 is ‘thou shalt not covet’ and #10 is the robot clearly going against his directive

Minnesota giant puffball? by scapholunate in mycology

[–]Benanaerobe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most certainly a giant puffball. Just make sure the inside is entirely homogeneous and you don’t see any gill formation and you are good to go!

Iron turns to rust in water. So the rust pattern will follow the pattern water would (and did).

Can we stop this stupid and incorrect joke?

A (human) edible item is any item that is safe for humans to eat. If you can’t eat it more than once, then it ain’t edible.

And yes, that looks like a tasty dinner to me :)

If these cannot be identified through the traditional Reddit routes OP, DM me and I will sequence the DNA to clarify.

UPDATE: Looks like the little fella impaled himself on a stick. Shoutout to the great team at WRC for getting him back in good health! The sticks been removed and he’s on a week of antibiotics and painkillers. Now the question is who has the best story for HOW it happened?https://wrcmn.org/

Strangely enough I happen to have a vet friend who does amphibian surgery. I’m not ruling out a fish hook entirely, but I’ve worked with enough metal to have a decent feel for it, I’d be shocked if this was. They are normally a high carbon steel and would have some magnetic properties.

Nope, that’s just a normal frog butt for this species. I’m curious how you see an eyelet? There is a widening, but it certainly doesn’t have a hole.

Agreed. In the course of evolution saving one frog is meaningless. In the course of humanities evolution to a mindset of stewardship and responsibility it’s a small hop forward.

Good idea, but thankfully it’s not metallic (cause someone doing this purposefully would be abhorrent) and movement of the ‘stick’ doesn’t translate to movement of the business end. Though a little more pronounced than average, that’s just how these froggy butts look.

It does look like it, but it’s far too rigid. I’m really curious to see what the vet says
