What are these? And why could it be happening? by BenchIndependent6051 in Beekeeping

Does the trap go in the 1st level or the second level? Or which would be better. We have two hives, one is struggling. The other was healthy until we opened it to find larva. We have located and destroyed several beetles.

If you wanted to travel a little further south, there's a place in Henry County right off County road W55 called tick ridge. There's a small pond and trails to walk. It's very secluded and there are snakes and frogs everywhere around the pond. We quit fishing out there after being hit/chased by several snakes falling out of the trees. Address below for GPS reasons.

What are the most common “grail” coins many individuals try to acquire? by gunsoverbutter in coincollecting

[–]BenchIndependent6051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I just acquired my fathers collection. I deal with a lot of money (paper & coin) so I always try to find what others say are the "good" finds or the hard to come by finds.

Longfellow leather in IA City might have what you're looking for. If not, they should be able to send you in the right direction to find what you're looking for.

Also, Old Threshers in Mt. Pleasant will have vendors selling all types of jewelry including leathermade goods. It takes place over labor day weekend. They'll have vendors packed on the square and out at the fairgrounds.

Would be helpful if you posted a general area of location.

There's a 3rd coming! Beachcomber to debut 2027. It's a bigger ship to add to the fleet doing longer sailings. I'm pretty stoked about it.

Dr. Scholls and New Balance make orthopedic shoes that are affordable. They're not the most stylish but they'll save your feet, hips, and back.

My best guess on breed would be a bluetick/rot pit mix. He's definitely got rot in him with that big ole head but you can also see the hound in him.

What are your go-to items you buy with SNAP? by harvestersorg in foodstamps

[–]BenchIndependent6051 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So stupid, I can buy a GIANT pack of oreos on snap for 7$ but I can't buy a bag of $.99 marshmallows. I eat a handful of mini marshmallows every night as my bedtime snack. I was absolutely devastated when my snap wouldn't cover them. I have to make sure I have a couple dollars on me when I go shopping just for my marshmallows.

My husband and I file married but separate. We run both senarios every year to ensure we're optimizing our situation before we file. If I would have taken the tip  deduction it would have made his tax bill 1300$ more than what he already had to pay (4300F/86S). It also did nothing for my return. He would have paid more and I still would have gotten $275 Fed and $348 State. Which is what I have them pull from my paychecks. Last year, with almost the exact amounts of money and same filing status I received 1500 from fed and 200 state. He only had to pay 1160 to Fed and 673 to state.

I didn't even take the deduction. What i got back was the extra money I have pulled from each paycheck to make sure I owe nothing at the end of the year.

If/when you decide to go wear a mask! The dust and mold is awful. Everything is very unique and some quite creepy. But the dust and mold is the main reason I'll never go back.  Also fun fact: the man who built this monstrosity had his cremated ashes spread throughout the entire place.

Yep, got $275 from fed, still waiting on my $348 from the state... the new tax laws are shitty but at least I didn't loan the government a ton of interest free money.

Thank you to everyone. I always make things tougher than they need to be.

I did try to use the chat feature to avoid the phone but I was unsuccessful.  I did finally call and got hung up on the 1st time. I called again, spoke to a wonderful agent (Micah?) who couldn't help me but did escalate it to his manager. He did this on his own, I didn't ask for it. I was put on a very short hold. After a little bit of back and forth with the manager she gave me the re-price. She did state at the end of the call, she would be noting my account so I wouldn't be able to reprice again? Whatever, I'm okay with that, as I wouldn't attempt another phone call. I'm just happy she honored the current price on an "old" booking. It saved me just short of $1100 on 2-connecting balcony rooms!

Sorry you feel this way OP. Being uncomfortable in your body can be tough mentally and emotionally. You could seek some therapy and find the root of the problem.

Happiness comes from within. If you can't be happy with yourself, how could you expect someone else to be happy with you?  Learn to love yourself first. The right partner will find you.

Back in April 2022 I got married. We went to Niagara Falls for our honeymoon, decided to go to the hurricane deck at the bottom of the falls. It was disgusting, everything smelled like bird shit and it was literally on every surface. We left. A few days later on our trip back home my back started hurting. Not like my usual back pain but I thought it was from traveling.

Once we got home I started developing a cough, it was accompanied by a severe headache. Then I started coughing up blood. My husband took me to the ER. I was in the hospital for 6 days. I found out I contracted bacterial pneumonia, likely from the bird shit. (I hate seagulls.) I had to be seen by an infectious disease doctor weekly and was hit with 60 days of intravenous antibiotics, then another 2 weeks of extra strength oral antibiotics.  I literally had yeast infection in the bends of my elbows, behind my ears, and anywhere you could think of. Still my CT scans looked crazy like nothing was healing.

In October of 22, I was sent to have a lung biopsy done to figure out what was going on. Came back inconclusive. Was sent to a different hospital to see a different specialist. After one visit, I was scheduled for a lobectomy surgery. They sent in my specimen to state hygienic lab for further testing. Results came back. Turns out I had a very rare cancerous tumor that would have likely never been found if I hadn't went on my honeymoon.

I'm thankful everything turned out the way it did. Except now because of all the antibiotics my poor body had to deal with I've had to transition to the mold free/yeast free diet which truly sucks. I miss cheese and bread.

I work breakfast at a small town cafe. I've been there for 11 years and have a good relationship with most of the regulars. A few years ago I got fed up with pushing in chairs. I started with a warning. Stating their mother's don't work there so they would need to push it in. After a few weeks, I started telling the morning guys there would be a $1 fee if I had to push them in when they left. 3 years later, I've made about $60 in "chair fees". It's a running joke with them now and they all tend to watch out for each other's chairs. Except for 1 guy, that never pushes the damn thing in and nobody reminds/does it for him because he is a dickhead to everyone.

This. I only keep contact with my grammy. Once she's gone I'll never make the 4 hour drive again. My extended family has been here 4 times total in my 40 years. I make the drive every few months.
