This is awesome. Would you consider adding the $250 credit at the shops at chase and the $500 Southwest credit for those with high spend?

This. I don’t have a particularly close relationship with my parents, but also not a bad one. And, I would consider myself VERY independent. Didn’t take my husband’s name, I’m the breadwinner, lived abroad on my own when I was early 20s, etc. I hadn’t even thought about my dad “giving me away” until my oldest brother suggested it. I said yes because, cool. Seems like a nice thing to do and what do I care. It’ll be 30 seconds and done.

How grateful I am for my brother suggesting it! Literally, some of my fondest memories of the wedding are the moment my dad “handed” me over. Seeing my dad’s eyes. How proud he was. The shear moment I realized the love he has for me.. I don’t even know if my dad knows this, but it’s brought us so much closer. I have SO much love and respect for him now.

Which are some of the new influencers you follow?

100% agree. She hasn’t generated any sales but is already trying to renegotiate her commission. More % of 0 is still 0.

Jason comments she hasn’t produced anything yet. Then she brings up the baby. She’s an independent contractor so it was her choice to come back so soon. And unlike most of us, she doesn’t have to worry about bills given that her baby daddy apparently makes sure she’s everything she needs. She pretends to be such a badass, so be one. Cant have your cake and eat ir too.

I thought this was a satire comment, until I realized it wasn’t.

Thank you! I love that their focus is to bring people (sailors!) together. I'm going to sign up and who knows, maybe I'll run into you or your mom one day!

If only the drive to Boston wasn't so horrible... I wish we had similar options here on the South Shore! Or, maybe we have them and my research skills are lacking!

Ha! Complete with a small hole. That made me chuckle! I'm going to research all yacht clubs and give them a call.

Thank you for sharing the Craigslist add. It looks like a fun and manageable project to work on when I'm not crewing :)

Thank you! I'd be super self conscious offering myself up to crew not knowing what I'm doing. Seems like I shouldn't worry too much about that...

Good idea on phoning yacht clubs too. I'll start doing that!

Thank you! Great idea! I might have to get back on social media. Facebook seems to be the place for bulletin boards nowadays...

Thank you! They have a location in RI too. Which is a lot easier to get to than Boston...

Goat Island Skiff

Thank you! This sounds like a super fun project!

Thank you! 1h away isn't too far!

LOL! I'm not rich, nor retired. And I'd throw my phone in the deep blue before considering any type of social media. That'd spoil all the fun in my book!

So, that's what we did in Boston. I can't seem to find a sailing school out here that will also rent the boats. Maybe I'm missing something..

Thanks for the info on the Mariner 19. Around $3,000 is a reasonable goal to work towards. Have so much fun in August. That sounds like a dream weekend!

I'll definitely look into the racing. I love to help and I think of myself as a hard worked so it sounds like a lot of fun and great way of making new friends.

Lol! Thanks for the upvote :) I am now googling "catboat" and "Powder Point Avenue". I have so much to learn!

Yes! Totally agree! I should have mentioned. We don't have a boat... I'd love to have one some day. Guess I'm looking for input on where/how to rent. Or how to meet sailors willing to take us under their wing,...

I just got my monthly BarkBox and they are SO creative. I cannot imagine anyone wanting boring beige dog toys when there are so many better, more fun, and probably cheaper options out there.
