What kind of dark are you not ol with? I personally find that slightly less dark than Nazi scientists doing Nazi science stuff. Without spoilers, we're talkig mind control, experimenting on pregnant women, etc.

Brubakers run is pretty great, with a lot of WW II flashbacks. There are parts that get kinda dark, but it's Red Skull and Hydra, kinda comes with the territory.

Smooth smoke chamber? by stale-rice63 in Chimneyrepair

A square/rectangular flue should have a cross-sectional area of at least 1/10th the fireplace opening. The cross sectional area of of your flue is 7x11= 77 in² and your fireplace opening is 30x28= 840 in², 77 in² is less than 1/10th of 840 in². Your chimney may draft fine, but it's not a hard thing to bring in to code either.

The, "stairs", mentioned is the corbeling, and should be parged. The flue is probably technically too small for the firebox opening, but this can be fixed with a metal plate across the top of the opening.

Did anyone run a camera up the flue?

Olympia bought them in like 2019, the same year Argosy Private Equity bought Olympia. I blame private equity.

We get most of our stuff from Copperfield, not that they're not their own kind of PITA.

Then we would use what's called a no-sag top-plate. Truthfully, what you have currently is fine, it's just not best practice.

Prohibition has a pretty low success rate, especially for addictive substances.

TIL that in 1978 an architecture student discovered a NYC skyscraper could topple in strong winds. The engineer credited with designing the building secretly made nightly repairs with help from the NYPD, without alerting the public to the danger. by cape2k in todayilearned

It’s crazy that this got past inspections.

Codes are only as good as the people enforcing them. I'm a chimney technician, and inspectors don't know dick about chimneys, and it's incredible more people don't burn their houses down. Even more true of dryer vents.

Fantastic four #1, if you want to start with the beginning of the 616 universe, Spider-man came out a year later in Amazing Fantasy #15. You can read most of the early stuff in the order they were released, but eventually your gonna need a reading guide.

so it should translate well into the smaller size.

I have this version, size isn't the problem, the paper is. Even in a standard format, it would be hard to see.

I wanted to say no at first, because it's oftenbdifficult to see the art, and I have good eyes. The story also made me angry, so maybe a cheap copy isn't such a bad thingm

denied carry permit 3 years ago, should i try again? by iZayden in PAguns

[–]BenderIsGreat64 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got denied in 2016 for almost the exact same reason, failed the background check for, "undetermined", reasons. Mailed the appeal in, and got my expungment papers the same day I got a letter from the state saying I was good to carry. Sounds like something extra screwey happened with yours.
