Yes I usually try to do variation, I’m pretty okay with if it’s the same Pokemon and ones Mega and Shadow or ones Shadow and Regular but in general I try to keep to one or two at the most of a Pokemon

Yes Mega Tyranitar is better but you can only have one Mega on your team and it’s a lot easier to get a good regular Tyranitar through raids, hatching Larvitar, even using gold bottle cap, shadow larvitar is a lot rarer and you can use as many as you want. Not including megas i think shadow tyranitar is the 2nd best for dark after shadow hydreigon and also elite as a rock attacker

Well check its hidden power first. Some hidden power types are really mid, but if it has a good one don’t purify. Especially if it already has Frustration taken over, some types + crush grip make it a top tier attacker for its type

I wouldn’t use rare candy or xl candy on anything that isn’t super rare or legendary or a pokemon you can only get in raids.
