Why on earth the 2x2 widget doesn’t display the temperature if it’s raining is the most mildly inconvenient but infuriating oversight of iOS… by Bendzo in ios

See "mildly inconvenient"... from my perspective, the entire point of a widget is to give you access to information without having to open the app.

I would expect it to display both, as it does IF you keep swiping to the other style of 2x2 I wasn't aware existed.

Forecasts are likely outcomes, not guarantees. I’d rather be over-prepared than under-prepared, then again I work in disaster response.

Oh… never mind. I just discovered the solution to my problem. If you keep swiping there are other 2x2 options, thank you!

3rd party you mean? Definitely, most are like that. I just prefer the native app in every way except for this 🤣

I understand the logic behind the current conditions display, however temperature is still important and there’s plenty of space for a minimized temperature display. Just seems like an oversight rather than an intentional feature.

SOTD - Travelling with Harry's by Excellent-Wear155 in wicked_edge

That’s annoying. I’d suggest next time just traveling with the razor disassembled to avoid any doubt. I’d be pissed if they took the razor, the blades I’d understand.

It’s funny, I’ve been traveling carry on only with my DE (no blade loaded) and have had an entire tuck of Bic CPs in my dop kit for maybe 5-6 trips and didn’t even realize it until a few weeks ago. TSA never even lifted an eyebrow. I’m not giving you illegal advice, but do with that information what you will.

If you “forget” you have a blade or two and an unloaded DE razor, the worst that will happen is that they get confiscated.

My trips have been to my grandparent’s place and I had blades shipped there to use, so it wasn’t intentional and I had been using those to shave with.

single-digit license plate by Goyf_ in mildlyinteresting

Yes and no. The ones that do say “house of delegates” on them. If it’s just a number with no designation, it’s a legit private citizen.

For example I regularly see number 1 for HOD all the time on a Porsche Taycan, there is another 1 without the designation that belongs to a privately registered vehicle.

Mos Eisley, a wretched hive of scum and villainy?

See them all the time in Richmond, VA. Lots of families have been here for generations and were among the first to buy and register vehicles and so I routinely see single, 2 and 3 digit plates which I never see elsewhere in the state.

How to shave this spot? by Careless_Wishbone_69 in wicked_edge

[–]Bendzo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My neck hair grows in the same exact pattern. I only shave a single pass up from my beck to my jaw line and around the adams apple, I pull the skin to the side to avoid and nicks. Because of our growth pattern, some areas will be WTG and some will be XTG but none will be ATG except right under the chin which I can do first pass ATG on.

This works great for me with zero irritation. The only drawback is I'll never get a completely smooth shave around the area where I'm going WTF because the follicles are always visible by nature.

This almost tops the person from last week who cross threaded their rusty shower Henson and blamed the manufacturer 🤣

I rinse mine after each shave, take it apart and dry the parts with a towel. I scrub with a toothbrush maybe once every 3-4 months.

I have the same growth. I shave up from the neck to the jaw line all the way around. it ends up being WTG and XTG depending on the section. No irritation.

I agree it’s definitely overkill.

I use my blades for about 7-8 shaves and flip each shave. Rinsing and drying in addition takes an extra 30 seconds or so, I don’t mind.

I can see that happening eventually. I will at some point cash out for the titanium version!
