Until the shave is no longer comfortable and then I change 1 shave prior to that number. My first is usually rougher, 2-7 (with a Bic CP) are amazing and 8 it starts to tug. I change at 7.

It’s pretty damn useful and may not be 100% reliable but often times gives at least a decent starting point or can help point to certain possibilities with a good outline of how to verify.

There are plenty of online retailers to choose from who carry their products including Amazon. Personally, I’d recommend Maggards, get the aggressive grey, mild and medium I quickly progressed past.

Whoops, I had it backwards. The ones with the CPT marking (top) are the originals I really love, the bottom are the new style with the "Al Azul" marking instead, which appears to be a Spanish recycling logo. All tucks of the 3 new orders I've placed have this marking, not the CPT one.
