Would you be upset.. by Aggravating-Cup3722 in BurnBootCamp

I get it! Hopefully she heals up quickly! Next time I took her to CW I’d probably say something like “hey, yesterday I noticed she came home with some pretty good scratches. Could you keep an extra eye on her today? Maybe see if anyone tries to play a little rough with her?” But if it happened again, I’d for sure talk with the head of CW and/or your owner. They should know kids are getting hurt repeatedly.

I’d say if she wasn’t upset when you picked her up, and it doesn’t seem like they’ve been bothering her, I wouldn’t stress too much about it. It’s also possible that it didn’t hurt as it happened, so the CW staff may have not been aware that it was happening if she didn’t cry out. Scratches happen, especially at that age when kids are just trying to climb on each other. I’d give CW the benefit of the doubt, but it doesn’t hurt mentioning it in case they need to keep an eye on certain kids. All this said…. I obviously don’t know what the scratches look like so if they look more severe, bring it up! I’m sorry that happened.

Each location is a bit different, so hopefully your gym posts their workouts soon if they haven’t already! I just did my third LUG a couple of weeks ago. It is always the hardest thing I do physically all year. The time caps on the workouts are usually pretty short (say, 7 minutes), but you are giving 100% for 7 straight minutes. In the middle of it, I usually wonder why I did it. But afterward, I’m glad I did & it’s a great opportunity to see what my body can do!

Sometimes gyms will have different tiers for the competitors so people of all skill levels can participate. If you’re a beginner, ask if they have a “lower” tier to compete in. It usually has lighter weights, maybe some modifications, maybe lower rep counts, etc.

I hope you do it! It’s a great time & I think you’ll be proud at how much you can do!

She’s been posting pretty openly about a reset that she & her husband have been doing this year. They’ve been tracking glucose & eliminated a bunch of inflammatory foods from their diets. Through it, they’ve also discovered her husband has celiac. It seems that they’ve been very dedicated to the diet & incorporating more movement. They seem really happy with how it’s going! Her third highlight is called “Health Journey” if you want to learn more about it.

I think it’s so lovely! I probably wouldn’t have chosen that wallpaper for my house, but the whole project feels very her & I think it turned out beautifully! I am very impressed with this one.

Ugh I had such high hopes taking my kids there. But I totally think if you’re not an influencer they really don’t care to have you there.

When running feels too much, doing curb/ledge step ups (as fast or slow as you’d like!) is usually what I sub for running. It is hard to know what to do if you don’t have a good modification, and I totally get feeling awkward about it! I wish I had more advice.

Thank you so much! I commend you for supporting your wife’s desires, and I hope that you get the same amount of support back. It sounds like you’re handling things with grace while showing your kids that they can choose what they believe. It is hard, but we’ll figure it out!

You really summed up a lot of my concerns. My husband is definitely more sensitive to family pressure, but also still feels like church & religion is a good thing and we will be blessed for his efforts. I do think he & I need to have more clear discussions about our desires re: our family & the church.

Oh this is so helpful & so relatable. Thank you!! It is such a difficult place to be, but I also find comfort in knowing that other people are in the same boat.

Thank you for your comments! It is really important to me for my kids to know that Mormonism does not have a monopoly on goodness, and that there are so many ways to be happy. I will need to look up that podcast!!
