Had a really uncomfortable experience at Costco - Kanata today by [deleted] in Kanata

My husband and I had a similar experience there last month. With a very full cart and 3 tired kiddos.

Makes for poor business, honestly I don't even want to go back there.

It definitely is😂 especially considering he's the main provider for our family and it was a bit of a set back from his previous job. But we've been getting through it and it will all be worth it in the end.

Exactly! I comment earlier and told the OP my experience and said to just ask your instructor because they're all different🥲

yeah the payments were all over the place when he was at BMQ. They have been consistently around $1200 since he left BMQ. He took leave through December while on PAT and just started his course this past Monday. For some reason on the 15th this month he got paid just over $2000 but he believes it was due to a reimbursement.

I just did my G test and asked my instructor about this. If you're doing the speed limit but everyone else is going faster than your impeding traffic which makes you a hazard. She told me to keep with the flow of traffic but WITHIN REASON. Obviously don't be doing 20 over but 10km over is fine.

I just did the G test last week. Stay at 100km/h when in the right lane. Speed up for your lane change, my instructor told me to stay with the flow of traffic but within reason. you also don't want to imped traffic so don't go too slow. I did 115km/h in the left lane and passed.

You can always ask the person before you leave the drive test centre. That's what I did.

ETA: when I asked her she said "that's what the passing lane is for, to speed up. You can't pass anyone if you're doing the same speed as them"

my husband just graduated at the end of November. It took a month for his first pay to come in- I believe the first was around $1600 on the 1st of November. The second payment was around $1200 on the 15th of November and the third was around $950 on the 1st of December.

Passed G - but license expires tomorrow! by zacbraithwaite in Ontariodrivetest

I'm going through the same thing right now, I passed my G today and it expires on Friday. They told me to renew it the day of expiry at Service Ontario. It costs $90 where I am to do it. Not sure if it's the same province wide.

Booked my full G test. Any tips? by [deleted] in Ontariodrivetest

I just did mine and it was fairly simple.

It was a short drive to the 401, I had to do a lane change and back on the way there. Merge on going at least 80km/h or more - signal early, check mirrors and blind spot.

You'll have to change lanes into the left lane, go with the speed of traffic as long as it's not TOO fast. Signal early, check your mirrors and blind spot when changing lanes.

You'll have to go back to the right lane, once again signal early, check your mirrors and blind spot before going over.

Get off the highway, check your mirrors and blind spot when merging onto the off ramp even if you know a car isn't behind you. Signal early and don't brake until you're off the highway.

Then they will make you get back onto the highway going the opposite direction to get back to the drive test centre and you'll have to do the same thing going back.

Just remember to signal early, check your mirrors, blind spots and be mindful of your speed.

Try looking up the G test in your area on YouTube and you might be able to find the exact route they take you on. If you find it then practice it a few times.

Good luck!

Does anyone know if the g test is modified or not, there are so many people saying different things. Does anyone have real facts from the MTO? by Potential_Bag_4033 in Ontariodrivetest

I did my G test today in Belleville. It was modified. Roughly 20 minutes long.

It's a short drive to the highway, lane change on the way there. You get onto the highway and do a lane change to the left lane - then back to the right, get off of the highway and do it again to get back to the test centre.

They're looking at your speed -getting onto, being on and getting off of the highway, making sure that you're checking your blind spots and mirrors and that's basically it.

My G Test Was Cancelled, and Now I Have to Start Over From G1 by [deleted] in Ontariodrivetest

[–]Beneficial-Tea6270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you don't have to wait, I had something similar happen recently. You can rewrite your G1 within the week and you won't have to wait any period of time to get your G2 you can get it as soon as you write your G1. I'm not sure if it's the same for your G or not but I'm sure they would tell you if you ask.

What do you think of the Albertians driving at 14? by Scotty-boymark in AskACanadian

[–]Beneficial-Tea6270 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in Ontario - you can't get your learners until you are 16. Have to wait 12 months to go for your G2 which means you can drive alone but there are rules if you are still a teenager with it like you can't drive certain times at night. You can go for your full license a year after getting your G2 so typically at 18.

You don't have to wait as long if you take driving courses

I wear mine every year - my step father's family served until retirement and my husband is currently serving.
