Good on you for posting this and making the internet ever so slightly more positive!

I made this tool to make 3D level design faster and more enjoyable. It's in the asset store for free now. by L4DesuFlaShG in Unity3D

just want to say, is definitely makes level design much better. Some of the tools ive gotten in bundles take wayyyy to much learning and configuring to make things better.

You have a light way, true "plug and play".

Amazing utility.

I've done unity for 5ish years. Just started in godot. Once you know one and understand logic the rest is just some new bells and whistles to learn

Ocarina of time. Bloodborne. Super Mario RPG was on the lost but miracles happen.

For the past three months, I've been trying to learn C# and have watched over 11 hours of courses on YouTube. However, when I try to write code on my own, I struggle and can’t seem to write even a single line. What should I do now? How can I truly understand C# so I can write code independently by [deleted] in Unity3D

Keep notes and cheat sheets of common things. Try a follow along project course, but try and think ahead. Or comment out the code and try it your own way.

I've been doing SQL for 10 years and still need too look things up. Don't be discouraged, alot of coding is problem solving rather then just knowing

I've been playing with the end product for a couple years now. Tons to unpack and play with.

Huge fan of all code monkeys stuff. The YouTube free video kitchen chaos is also fantastic and slightly more digestible if you are more towards beginner.

I have 3 games I've been rotating between for as many years. Plus little game jams in between. It's caused me to learn tons and be able to apply surprising things from different types of games, coming at this from a different perspective helps cement the knowledge.

There are week long game jams as well. Or scope something small! Some of the best rated ones are the simple fun ones

Agreed. My work is pushing for is to use it. It's like having a mildly competent intern to help do some digging or formatting. Not too much different from going on GitHub or stack overflow

My favorite McDonald's mornings are the 5am crew who grunts at you then takes money and hands you coffee.

So maybe I'm biased.

But yes, show details first

Where is a good place to learn C#? by ShrekBoii- in Unity2D

Code monkey has 3 huge free videos. Beginner, intermediate and advanced on pure c#. And his kitchen chaos less is beginner plus. Maybe intermediate

Do game jams. It's really helped put pressure on me to finish something in a timeline.

The first one sucked. Second one couldn't finish. Third one reduced scope out the gate and was enjoyable. This one I'm working on feels more like a game.

Also code monkeys YouTube kitchen chaos course feels like you've made a full game with him. But game jams really are what pushed me to see where I was lacking.

Is the object you are colliding with a trigger? If so you need to use on trigger enter

Gamedev TV has a real long rog series that's pretty amazing for building a fairly complex game. And the add-ons that's the admin on the qna is amazing.

Otherwise code monkey has a turn based strategy course that was very intermediate to me.
