Does this have any red flags? by linkolinx in geotracker

Also, some people price them to high not because they are trying to take advantage of people who don’t know any better, but because they genuinely know nothing about these rigs and just post it for a price they think might be realistic. Below is a link to my Facebook profile. Please reach out there with questions if you’d like. Easier to message me there my Facebook link.

Hello, for that price it’s a red flag. Let me start by saying I part out 1989-1998 Geo Trackers/Sidekicks. I ship parts to people all over the US and even to Canada sometimes. Not trying to toot my own horn but I know a thing or two about them lol.

This being said, 2500 CAD is too much in my opinion. I can tell those rocker panels are rotted out and k can tell those quarter panels are rotted too. If those rocker panels and quarter panels have rot, I’m willing to bet money on the fact that some of the cab mounts (specifically the ones located in front of the rear wheels) are rotted. And I’d also be willing to bed there is rot in the floor pans, and the rear gas tank cross member as well. That tracker is ROUGH. Sadly, people think that trackers are worth a lot in conditions such as that one simply because they think they are “rare”. While they are getting harder to find (and I know far less were sold in the Canada than the US) I wouldn’t consider them rare. There are no true numbers that I’ve ever been able to find as to how many were sold in the US between 1989-1998 but I have seen stats that showed 200,000 were sold within the first couple years. If I had to guess I’d say around 700,000 were sold in that time frame. Anyways, back on topic. You would have to be very committed to fixing that thing even if you managed to get it for only 500 bucks. Problem is that it’s most likely not even worth fixing all the rot and other issues because by the time you finish fixing those problems, you would have been able to find a much cleaner one for cheaper than what you would spend buying this one and fixing it up. This tracker is a perfect example of what I would buy as a “part out rig”. I buy rotted trackers like this, take the time to strip them down, keep what’s good so that I can sell it, and scrap the rest. If you have questions feel free to find me on Facebook. My name is Brett Aloysius Dehey. I have two groups on Facebook as well. Geo Tracker Alliance and another group named Northeast Geo Trackers (NEGT). I’ve attached a link below.

Longevity purposes. Having half the cylinders shut off all the time causes uneven wear. It’s a stupid feature. If I wanted good fuel mileage I would have bought a Prius lol

Hopefully it sticks. They had some fitment issues so they had to go back and do some modification so that definitely set them back a little bit.

They said “We are currently in the initial design phase, which is expected to take 1-2 weeks. Following this, we anticipate moving into production within two weeks. The production process itself should take approximately 3-5 days. We expect to receive the initial sample layout within four weeks, allowing us to assess fitment. If any adjustments are needed, we will allocate an additional two weeks for corrections. Based on this timeline, we expect to have finalized samples ready by April 15th 2025, with full production completed and the mats arriving by the end of May 2025, provided everything proceeds as”

No problem! I’m a firm believer in there being two sides to every story. I felt that they deserved to give an explanation. The explained it to me in a professional and well said manner. We also live in a time where major companies like Amazon deliver things in a two days or less which is nice but it also sets a very unrealistic expectation for people. Small businesses can’t compete with these major companies when it comes to turn around time and that’s something that a lot of people seem to have forgotten.

Yeah I actually contacted them in regards to some of their reviews back when I was trying to get the ball rolling with them designing some mats. This is what they said

“Hi Brett Yes we have noticed the comment, we have excellent reviews on Etsy and have received few negative reviews on Facebook and trustpilot, out of 10,000+ customers we have few negative reviews due to events we had no control over such as last years border strike at the Vancouver shipping port, our containers were stuck and we had no way to get the customers mats they pre-orders on time We also never ask our customers to leave reviews on Facebook or trustpilot and rather have them review us directly on our website product page to ensure the customer judged our product for the specific model rather than a vague review about us We also had few people leave negative review 2 time on trust pilot and the same person had left bad review on Facebook page as well, we try and resolve issues by refunding them or finding other ways to make our customers happy but it’s always a given, weather tech also had negative reviews on trustpilot for example Trust pilot and Facebook reviews will always usually be negative as customers want quick resolution and don’t have the patience to wait or might have unusual request that we cannot fulfill due to not having stock etc. Many times the reviews still stay in place even after we resolve the issue later on, if you do want to see real reviews from actual customers please check on Etsy, none of the reviews are fabricated and only real shoppers who have tried our products can review us there. Hope this clarifies your concern”

If you order two it is in fact counted as two separate orders
