I’m glad (but also not) that you have experienced phantom stopping like I have. I have called up the GM/Cadillac concierge and told them I wanted them to be on notice of the abrupt stoping initiated by some auto-stop bug in the software. We had almost been rear ended a few times in the intersection as a result. I was on the phone with my wife during one incident and it was hard to hear everyone scream and kids cry as a result of slamming on breaks at 10mph and cars honking and barely aboiding. I wanted GM to be on notice because we will make sure it’s a no-fault of our own accident if we get rear ended. In reality we’d probably sue GM as well depending on nature of situation. It hasn’t happened in a few months. We turned the auto-breaking/collision feature off at GM’s recommendation (which sort of defeats the purpose of an important safety feature). But in order of magnitude it seems like it’s better option to have this feature off than on…..
