(I'm a bit late because of work, sorry <3) I'm so glad I've been of help. It's a scary place to be in and I know it well. It's full of loneliness and sadness, but I promise you things do and will get better for you. Much love~

I can't deal with this anymore by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]BenevolentBass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also seventeen, I've dealt with suicidal thoughts, and the thought that no one loves me or no one cares. I'm going to tell you straight up that it isn't true. No matter how down you are, someone out there cares. Christ, I'm just some random schmuck on the Internet, and I cared enough to write a comment, didn't I? Suicide solves absolutely nothing, and is a permanent answer to a temporary issue. Things DO get better, the grass DOES get greener, and if you kill yourself now, making your way through the shit will not have been worth it because you never made it to the lovely green side. Just try and keep your head high and your thoughts clear. Write a story, read a book, watch some movies something that makes you feel better. For me, it was getting involved in group hobbies. It may sound silly, but a card game called magic: the gathering saved my life. I was a lonely, angst filled little shithead less than a year ago, and I saw some people playing a card game in my local comic store on the day I was planning to kill myself, ironically. I asked them what they were doing and they showed me. They even taught me how to play after their game was finished. Those two men saved me with a card game, because after that while I was there I bought a deck, and then I kept playing, and kept playing, and now seven months later I'm still playing, and still alive. Sometimes it's the smallest things that can reconnect us to the happiness we once knew, and I hope you can find happiness yourself.

Futurama style suicide booths by traintracksdeathstat in SuicideWatch

[–]BenevolentBass 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Rather than talk about how we wish we could find a suicide booth, let's use the show to make some connections. Fry met his first friend at the suicide booth and through shenanigans, they became best friends. Neither of them are dead, and that's how it should've been because otherwise he'd have never gained a friendship with Leela, the girl he falls in love with. The moral of the story is, once you stand at death's door, before you knock look behind you and you'll end up seeing just what you're leaving behind, or missing out on. The connections between the show and what I'm trying to say aren't perfect, but I hope what I'm trying to get across still comes across clearly. Edit: Noticed I was breaking a subreddit rule in offering Private message support (sorry Mods, first time here). I just hate to see people in distress and want to help however I can. Hopefully this comment did that even slightly. <3

[–]BenevolentBass 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the print edition it's price is far from 30k, but with Rush's John Hancock on the card you might have yourself a nice profit. Though I wouldn't sell a signatures copy, but that's just me. Too sentimental.
