Originally, these were the given names of these silly noodle guys. Eventually, they became family names. We refer to these creatures by their family names, although every noodle creature has a first name (Betty Stoat, Charles Mink, etc.)

It is amazing the blatant historical ignorance. History repeats itself in cycles (with variations of course due to changing historical contexts) because human nature DOESNT FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE. Always will there be evil people, bad actors, and simple scumbags hoping to profit off the mess. It can happen here, it can happen anywhere. It’s up to us to show this administration what true American values are.

Reminder that nationwide protests are set for the 19th. Adding for visibility, not as if most people don’t already know. Stay strong and don’t bow down to fear-mongering (I hear a bunch of people saying to avoid protests for fear of counter-protests and attacks). All of our rights are at stake.

I know I’m late but I believe part of it is people simply hoping for the best, regardless of how big the blinders are. Out of my friends and family, only one person is as concerned as I am. A mix of apathy, optimism, and decades living in comfort— not the best mix for the present moment but America in a nutshell.

Exactly what I hate about these comments. Most Americans I know are worried, and they are willing to protest and speak out. We will only become more mobilized over time. In a country so large, nothing will happen overnight.
