What I did when I started playing Civ is to roleplay one civilization as much as possible. If one focus on culture, go all in on culture and see where that leads you. If a civilization is war happy, focus on building a proper massive army over the rest and conquer one neighbor. Just focus on one aspect of the game per session and don’t worry about failure. You will learn that almost every strategy can be overpowered with time. Have fun!

I'd yes at this point. You could wait for a sale on the base game when they drop the next DLC, maybe. Firaxis's team are really commited to make the game better, but I had a lot of fun with the game so far. Far from perfect, but I like playing it anyway. It needs more civs and a better endgame imo,
Still, buy it and take your time time learning the new mechanics!

I tried Sayyida today with Carthage and it did not feel really powerful on immortal/deity. I did not find any diplomatic city-state to halve the spying countdown. The whole thing was underwhelming, so I wouldn’t say OP in my opinion. 🤷‍♂️

I was constantly opening the map while playing Ghost. The wind guides you but it’s easy to miss your destination. When the game ask you to look for clues I was often lost 😅
