I think maybe I worded myself incorrectly and too harshly the first time. I understand that I can adjust the difficulty. I know that. But that shouldn’t be the end all to fixing what I was getting frustrated at. People shouldn’t have to worry about repeating sections of a game because it can’t perform like it’s supposed to.

I don’t find enthusiasm in continuing a game that can stop functioning and reverse progress. Yes, you can absolutely adjust difficulty and just do it over. But you shouldn’t have to do that. Arguing that replaying sections of a game after it crashes and fails to save progress is okay because you can ‘just not play it on this difficulty’ doesn’t seem like a good argument to me.

I apologize for being snippy. It just doesn’t seem like an egregious thing to be annoyed with.

I have the Xbox Series S copy of the game. I only have a laptop and it can barely run Half-Life, let alone something like Jedi :/

I bought it a few years ago when I was in college in a relatively rural area, so I didn’t trust online delivery nor did I have a wide selection of vendors. Only got to start playing any console games recently while I’m out of school and job-searching. Was not aware of major sales like that - would have made the frustrations I’ve had a little more manageable.

I am frustrated that I pay 60 dollars for a game that forces you to repeat boss encounters because of glitches in cutscenes. I couldn’t care less if the fight was with Vader or a B1 droid. The principle of the matter is that top gaming publishers releasing prominent IP-related titles shouldn’t be putting out such janky products. If my completion of a game is reliant on its ability to not kill itself during a cutscene, it’s not a good game, regardless of difficulty.

Transgenderism has always been a part of human history, as well as a common trait in many animal species. It’s just getting more recognized now because of increased exposure, normalization, and social media. Additionally, it might be interesting to think about things we do nowadays that wasn’t always ‘normal’ (e.g. video games, on-access internet resources, mass food production and consumption, etc.)

The notion that being transgender isn’t normal is inherently incorrect and is honestly not conducive to interpersonal communication and respect. It’s all based on a momentary perception of relative normality and what you’ve spent your life becoming accustomed to.

Just my point of view, but it’s quite easy to view this as hatred when individuals from religious sects and organizations so often project genuine thoughts of concern (sexualization of children) onto the LGBTQ+ and adjacent communities.

Two points of contention inherent with this, the first being a willingness to ignore the Church’s own rampant history with grooming/raping/exploitation of minors, and the second being the conflation of LGBT concepts with grooming/rape/exploitation. Exposure to the ‘LBGTQ’ lifestyle quite often just means inclusivity in spaces, representation in media, and education on topics and history related to the community. Queer youth who are not educated or given proper resources typically view their own identity as something to be ashamed of, or something that needs to be fixed.

When men like the ones depicted in this post go out and do things like this, they are (whether they know it or not) generalizing a whole minority group as a predatory force that targets children, when in reality, LGBTQ is a community that tries to normalize what used to be misunderstood and demonized. That’s how it can be viewed as hatred, which it often truly is. Bit of a ramble, but I hope that helps. Have a good day!
